Next, we head to J&D Caribbean Cuisine to try some Trinidadian street food like doubles, poori, and alup pies. Davika and Janelle, the owners, share their journey of bringing the flavors of Trinidad to Houston. We watch as they make doubles with precision and care, filling them with flavorful Chana and sauces.
And finally, we make a stop at Reggae Hut where we savor the iconic Jamaican patties filled with beef, chicken, or veggies. The relaxed atmosphere and the delicious patties make it a must-visit spot for Caribbean food lovers in the downtown area.
