The comments here have never seen the absolute vastness of the Rockies. Thinking that any government can control the immense forests in this part of the world…its just insane. Imagine it’s your job to put out a fire in just one farmers field. A huge job, now stretch that over mountains without roads or water access. Our provinces are as large as some countries.
Lytton BC burns to the ground and after 3 years it is finally starting to rebuild , I bet Alberta gets Jasper rebuilt a great deal faster. Different provincial government .
The loss of Wildlife hurts the most.
Slave lake, Fort mac, Jasper, Churches, seems like an attack on canadian oil, faith and culture.
What a shame, was a beautiful tourist town… I stayed at Maligne Lodge 2 yrs ago…
I have been the about 2 years ago with my mom and family 😢
Every year that I drove to visit the family I'd pass through Jasper over Christmas break. Sad to see, it was so pleasant.
Wishing we all to be a graceful sinner
Prompt to repent🙏💖

I’m saddened for the community. I loved going to Jasper for vacation. Lots of happy memories were made there
Not convinced with Danielle's emotions. There are things she could have done instead of deny certain realities… and this is a result of that denial. Let's see if her denial continues and what the future brings in terms of such climate events.
Hehe they ain't so sympathetic and sensitive when they're being warned about climate change causing drastic affects.
Hey global, I better hear you guys ask the liberals why they stopped managing the forests…Thats the real story here, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN. We've been protecting towns and cities located close to forests by ensuring we manage the forest so it can't burn out of control, that is until we had Justin Trudeau decide that he was going to cut that funding, pursue DEI hiring, and then mandate good people out of their emergency response jobs due to a certain medical procedure…but I digress, global, you helped bring this about!!!!
Over tourism and over population
Good thing all the carbon tax money raised helped pay for new water bombers planes and added fire prevention. Very sad I wanted to visit Jasper. I hope they catch the cause of the fire… too many wildfires in the west!
A forest fire is part of mother nature
Support and love from Ontario stay strong jasper even tho our government fails our people we still remain strong
This is the same federal government that gave away free passes to Banff National Park and then could not handle all of the vehicles that showed up. They hadn’t hired any extra gate attendants, and had blocked the town from building new parking lots.
I lived in Jasper for 7 months, I miss it everyday… Changed my life and always thought about settling down in the paradise that is Jasper National Park. Prayers up truly to everybody living there. Long live Jasper, stay strong everybody.♥️
How did these fires start?
lmao, dw Edmonton is next
2026 here we go!
Will build it back up again we won't look to God who created all things no will let nature build it back up again and we'll work together to build it back up again
That's exactly what the Jewish people did once before we are repeating their history
The Lord Jesus Christ would help you get through it too if you would look to him but know you would rather blame him what about the devil who hates you did you ever think maybe he's the cause of this
They are called forest fires. They are nothing new. Wildfires is a new liberal term like heat domes and atmospheric rivers.
Will the government use some of OUR money to support the reconstruction of Jasper or are all of OUR money already overseas? Or “Jasper is asking for more that Canada can give”…?
Canada is burning to the ground from coast to coast while Justin Trudeau surfs and gives away our money to the world . Have we had enough of this government. Vote for Canada in 2025 . As an Ontario resident I truly feel pain for my brothers and sisters in Alberta.
So sad for ever
Shame on the government for under estimating the forest fire situation 🔥 in our country we need to have so many water bombers to make it rain in my MNRF needs more people and equipment not just depending on volunteers from canada and around the world shame
Probably just a coincidence that there is a church there that burned. Jasper Anglican Church, a historic Gothic heritage building also known as the St. Mary and St. George Parish.
@rson as always.
Anyone see any water bombers making rain ? Why not ?
See the places that had sprinklers on em ? I think that’s why there are water bombers . Too bad the Heritage fund didn’t buy any yet , we only have four firefighting capable aircraft in Alberta after being preached to about climate change , taxed to death for carbon !
Nothing done to improve our fighting capabilities but sure can show a force of police to remove citizens from their homes .,.,.,.,.,
Arson?
Welcome to Clownada, the future is doomed. Roads full of potholes. Kids learning in the gyms facilities. Hospitals always overcrowded (emergency rooms waiting time is longer than FJT’s wife’s mileage 😂).
Taxes in the cloud 9 (heard people have to pay taxes to move out of the country, soon 😂).
The size of government growing up with the speed of light 😂, all day debating, deciding how ti raise the taxes, how to spend the budget, without doing nothing else 😂
Again, welcome to Clownada 😂
My house, my car paid off long ago. I don’t care.
God bless my fellow Canadians ❤
Action Required by Municipal, Provincial and Federal Emergency Preparedness. See AI recommendations. Visit Butchart Gardens and adapt to beautify forest towns and as fire brake.
Background: I've been circulating similar warnings by email and think I particularly warned that forest cities need fire breaks.
Action Required by Class Action Lawyers: It's like suing a dog owner. Every dog gets one free bite. Don't sue over Fort McMurray. Sue over Jasper.
Meta AI recommends…
To prevent towns in the forest from being destroyed by wildfires, consider the following effective ways:
1. *Create defensible spaces*: Clear flammable vegetation and debris around homes and buildings.
2. *Fire-resistant construction*: Use fire-resistant materials for buildings, such as brick, stone, and metal.
3. *Regular maintenance*: Regularly inspect and maintain fire breaks, roads, and utilities.
4. *Prescribed burns*: Conduct controlled burns in fire-prone areas to reduce fuel loads.
5. *Fire detection and response*: Implement early detection systems and rapid response plans.
6. *Community education*: Educate residents on wildfire risks and prevention measures.
7. *Forest management*: Implement sustainable forest management practices, such as thinning and pruning.
8. *Fire breaks*: Create natural or artificial barriers to contain fires.
9. *Water supply*: Ensure access to reliable water sources for firefighting.
10. *Collaboration*: Foster cooperation among local authorities, fire departments, and residents.
11. *Emergency planning*: Develop and regularly update emergency evacuation plans.
12. *Fire restrictions*: Enforce fire restrictions during high-risk periods.
13. *Monitoring*: Continuously monitor weather and fire conditions.
14. *Infrastructure*: Design and build infrastructure with wildfire resilience in mind.
15. *Research and development*: Stay updated on the latest wildfire prevention and mitigation technologies and strategies.
By implementing these measures, towns in the forest can significantly reduce the risk of destruction from wildfires.
