The Farnborough International Airshow 2024 was a spectacular event showcasing the best of commercial aviation, and one of the highlights was the reveal of Qatar Airways’ Next-Gen Q Suite. This new suite features innovative design elements such as the ability to form a double suite facing each other by simply pushing a panel aside.
The Q Suite has been upgraded to be 1.5 inches wider upright and 4 inches wider in bed mode compared to the current Qsuite. The new furnishings, including a black marble top and metallic lumina, give the suite a luxurious and modern feel. Additional features such as a safety locker and customizable color lighting add to the overall passenger experience. The Next-Gen Q Suite will be installed on Boeing 777X and new A350 deliveries, offering passengers a truly premium flying experience.
During the airshow, I had the opportunity to tour inside Virgin Atlantic’s new A330-900neo and Air India’s A350-900. Airbus also provided an update on its A350 Freighter program, while Turkish Airlines revealed its new Crystal Business Class Suite. At Boeing, National Airlines announced a significant order for 777 Freighter aircraft, highlighting the growth in the cargo market.
Embraer showcased its new E190 E-Freighter and the E195 E2 “Tech Eagle” aircraft, demonstrating the latest in technological advancements in commercial aviation. Overall, the Farnborough Airshow was a fantastic display of innovation and excellence in the aviation industry, leaving attendees excited for the future of air travel.
