Southport teenager to face murder charges, police announce

A tragic incident has shaken the community of Southport as a 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of three young girls and ten counts of attempted murder following a mass stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. The teenager, who cannot be named due to his age, was swiftly arrested by armed police after emergency services were called to the Hart Space antenatal centre.

The victims, Alice Dasilva Aguiar, Bebe King, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, aged nine, six, and seven respectively, lost their lives in the senseless attack. Eight other children suffered stab wounds, with five in critical condition, while two adults were also critically injured during the tragic incident.

The teenager has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Liverpool city magistrates’ court on Thursday morning. The community is left to grapple with the aftermath of this horrific event, as they come to terms with the devastating loss of innocent lives.
