Tesla is playing games about when the Model Y Juniper will be released to the public for purchase. The Juniper will be critical for Tesla increasing sales going forward. Why would anyone purchase a current Model Y now when the Juniper refresh is about to be released? I wouldn't. Unless there is some problem with battery upgrade or other improvements why wouldn't Tesla release the Juniper in the last quarter of 2024 rather than the second or third quarter of 2025? I predict Tesla will experience a big drop off in sales for the current Model Y in the third and fourth quarters of 2024 unless they move up the Juniper to an earlier release. Under no circumstances will I consider buying a current Model Y in 2024. I have no intention of waiting until the third quarter of 2025 before buying my next vehicle. If necessary, I will purchase another ICE vehicle now rather than purchase the existing Model Y.
