In the early days of the tech industry, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were both pioneers who founded their respective companies, Microsoft and Apple, in the 1970s in the Silicon Valley. Despite starting off as partners, their relationship eventually took a turn due to differing visions for the future of their companies.
One of the key moments in their shared history was when Microsoft developed software for Apple II computers. However, tensions arose when Apple released the Macintosh computer, which was seen as a direct competitor to Microsoft’s products. This marked the beginning of the rivalry between Gates and Jobs.
Gates had a vision of a software-centric tech industry, while Jobs was focused on creating innovative hardware products that would revolutionize the market. This fundamental difference in approach led to conflicts between the two tech billionaires.
Despite their rivalry, Apple and Microsoft did partner at one point, with Microsoft even releasing its own operating system, Microsoft Windows. However, competition between the two companies remained fierce, with Gates critiquing Jobs’ approach to business and Jobs returning the favor by criticizing Gates’ decisions.
In the 1990s, Microsoft’s dominance in the tech industry was solidified, leading to a $150 million investment in Apple to help keep the company afloat. However, the competition between the two giants continued to escalate.
The rivalry between Bill Gates and Steve Jobs persisted until Jobs tragically passed away at the age of 56. Today, Microsoft and Apple remain two of the biggest players in the tech world, continuously innovating and competing in the market. The legacy of their rivalry continues to impact both companies, shaping the tech industry as we know it.

what if, and i'm just spitballing here, what if instead of making insanely obnoxious videos for profit about greedy billionaires who exploit their workers, their customers, mankind itself and regulators while treating them with reverence and awe as if they are in any way relatable whatsoever, or even remotely worthy of the worship bestowed to a drug addled d-list celebrity, instead we treat them to a little french revolution, then take back all the money they stole from you, from me and the rest of the planet?

Gates has become a real world villain. It's a shame Gates didn't croak and we instead had Jobs here.
For those who have no Job then Gate is the only option 😂

Jobs was NOT a techie. BUT He had the WOZ,so He did Not need to be one!
If Gates thought Jobs was not the right leader for Apple, Gates would not have invested an insane amount of money into apple, essentially saving Apple from closing its door the following week.
Gates helped the narcissist Jobs. Job's followed Bill Gates MO of hiring people smarter than himself when. Hia company almost tank. But Jobs stayed a narcissist.
Commodore Amiga had a working Mouse GUI before Microsoft Windows.
I’m not sure you guys have heard but, Steve Jobs is dead! So to put it mildly no body actually gives AF about the former rivalry between him and Bill Gates!
Great job
What code do Jobs write? None.
What industrial design did he actually commit to paper himself? None.
Steve Jobs' job was to yell, "I don't like it. Do it again!" over and over until some nitpicky aesthetic was achieved. Well, that and generally being a berating, narcissistic sociopathic a**hole.
And yes, they both, Jobs in particular, stole the graphic interface from Xerox.
They had something in common, Both absolute Aholes!

Microsoft not copying the Mac OS is completely false. It was a direct rip off from basic GUI elements to how the windows and event management worked. This resulted in patent infringements which was settled in court. Apple agreed to allow Microsoft to copy certain things to create WIndows 1.0. But then Microsoft took it too far and therefore they went to court.

In the 1954 movie Executive Suite, a struggle takes place between a conservative “bean counter” type who wants to stay the course, without any interest in risk or creativity, and a visionary who’s pushing for creative change or bust. The adventurer wins the executive suite and the business is able to continue as a dynamic creative entity, changing as the movement of consciousness demands it. Taking no risks is certainly a recipe for disaster, but willingness to take chances and a vision are not enough. Preparing the field for planting is a good beginning, but the next step is to take on a process to manifest from the field of possibilities products that will improve the quality of people’s lives. Only then will consumers come.
Businesspeople are ostensibly always on the run, with a deep need to be in control all the time, but these stereotypes miss the mark when it comes to creative businesspeople. One of the great developments of our time is the emergence of a popular antidote to the anxious mind—the relaxation response. To learn to relax is to learn to be in your own company without judgment, and without incessantly creating the past or the future. The creative businessman is an expert in living this way—being fully in the moment.
