In the midst of conflict and political turmoil, Drew Binsky, a seasoned traveler and storyteller, courageously ventured back into Syria after being banned for six years. In a new documentary capturing Syria’s new chapter in 2025, Binsky takes viewers on a journey that offers an unfiltered look into a country shrouded in mystery and controversy.
Having been banned in 2019 for showcasing the resilience and beauty of the Syrian people in his video series, Binsky faced uncertainty about ever returning. However, upon crossing the land border, he sensed a shift in the air — a mix of hope, fear, and uncertainty that set the tone for his eye-opening experience.
From the ancient streets of Damascus to the remote villages of Palmyra, Binsky sought to understand life under Syria’s new regime. Spending time with locals, listening to their stories, and witnessing the changes unfolding, he provides a rare glimpse into a country undergoing transformation.
After four weeks of dedicated efforts, Binsky and his team have crafted a captivating documentary that aims to spark open and honest conversations. As he welcomes feedback and reactions from viewers, he encourages them to engage in a dialogue about his journey and the stories he encountered.
Partnering with Young Pioneer Tours and utilizing drone shots from his friend Kasem, Binsky has successfully captured the essence of Syria in a time of change. With a book titled “JUST GO” and a plethora of travel stories to inspire wanderlust, Binsky continues his mission to educate and inspire through his adventures around the globe.
For those interested in exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations, Binsky recommends Young Pioneer Tours for unique travel experiences. By subscribing to his channel and following his social media accounts, viewers can stay connected with his latest documentaries and travel adventures.

Great video
I can’t stop crying whenever I watch anything about Syria and the Syrian people after the fall of the mujrim asad, i have never been to Syria but I would have never wished for any human being to go under what they went through, they are the most polite people, the most tolerant people, the most respectful people, love from Somalia ❤
Mr.Drew Binsky, thank you for using your channel to show how life looks like in Syria now. you have given them voice. Wishing peace and democracy over Syria.
My hope is that new Syria will rebuild and make a better future for its people.
Drew is everywhere!!!
I’ve seen your videos on Syria, what a beautiful culture and beautiful people ❤ 🇸🇾 . Sadly I’ll never likely visit this country as an openly nonbinary person who dresses very feminine and has a full face full of makeup as this country seems ultra conservative towards the LGBTQ lifestyle. Hopefully there are other safe Middle Eastern countries for me to visit. 🥺 Drew, thank you for showing this beautiful culture full of amazing people, I love seeing this, but I was especially touched by your Ukraine video as a Ukrainian American who grew up with the culture. Thank you for this video, and for the Ukraine video. Your efforts to show the good sides of countries is so appreciated. 😊
Just to say your image on youtube is awfull, such a bad choice of picture my fucking god…
Stop acting like you were something important or something, you are nobody and none care my friend, you just traveling with a camera and earning money, you not changing anything on this world so pls..
не сказал про казни христиан, работорговля….грязь для либералов
Unfortunately, at the time of this video. The recent violence has lead to the death and targeting of Christian’s and other minorities. I pray that the New Syrian Government can form and protect the religious minorities✝️✡️🙏
Приезжай в Украину, в Волчанск!! Сними выпуск, что делает росия!!!!!
HOW'D YOU KNOW MY NICKNAME !!?
Mr. #MassiveShawarma !! 💯💯💯
You just gave a positive platform to a terrorist regime, which massacred Christian and Druze people 🤦♂️
Assad, Hussein and Qaddafi may been many bad things but at least they are NOT radical Islamists like HTS, ISIS, AL QAEDA, HAMAS, HEZZbollah , the Houthis or Fatah.
Hospitality? Really? Do these Syrians behave like himan beings when are living in a Western County?
Such heartbreaking scenes… Syria has always been a land of history and beauty, but war has taken so much from it. We hope peace returns and life blossoms again in its streets and cities. Our hearts are with the people of Syria—may they be safe, and may the lost rest in peace.
If Syrians truly love peace and want their suffering to end, there is onky 1 way, Stay Away fro. ISLAM!

Imagine paying your lawn service everyday when your yard needs to be cut once a week…privatize these same jobs and pay the company for the service they do not as salaried gov employees
Food poisoning in India!? Who would've guessed
You must be very ignorant if you don't know that HTS is Al-Nusra terrorists, Al Julani literally created Al Nusra front with Al Qaeda and was Emir of Al Nusra. Al Nusra was the worst kind of terrorists on par with ISIS. I thought you are smarter, but you are jew so it's good for you that terrorists rule over Syrias, it benefits israel since they support terrorists. Your tour guide must support these terrorists on your video because he would be dead tomorrow if he say something bad about them.
You should really visit Gaza 😢 plz
Awesome! 😀
Dump country
I have tears, watching the joy on everyone's faces.

Since filming this video just four weeks ago, more than a thousand Christians, Alawites and Assad supporters have been killed by HTS, the new regime now in power. Women, children, entire families—gone. My heart is absolutely broken for them.
The goal of this video was to show what it’s like to travel in Syria after Assad’s fall and to use my platform to amplify local voices.
I’ve been to every country on Earth, and yet the Middle East remains my favorite region for one word: hospitality.
Nowhere else in the world have I felt so welcomed, so embraced by strangers who quickly become friends. And Syria, despite its long years of suffering, is no exception.
Understandably, many Syrians have been celebrating this new shift in power. And as you’ll hear in this video, for them, anything was better than Assad — he was a war criminal.
But the future remains uncertain. A new extremist government is sadly dragging the country back into chaos, and the cycle of violence continues.
Syrians deserve peace. They deserve the right to practice their faith freely, to feel safe in their own homes, and to build a future without fear — just like the rest of us.
Let’s spread awareness. Let’s push for an end to this suffering.
'With Love,
Drew Binsky
