Israeli forces have recently launched limited incursions into Lebanon, leading to escalating tensions in the region. The United States has confirmed these incursions, with Israel vowing to continue fighting against Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group. This comes after a series of clashes between the two sides, culminating in the killing of a Hezbollah leader.
In a recent interview with FRANCE 24, Ayman Mhanna, the executive director of the “Samir Kassir Foundation”, expressed his belief that the Lebanese leadership has failed its people. Mhanna stated that the current crisis is a result of the Lebanese government’s history of accommodating Hezbollah and corrupt leaders. He argued that the leadership’s complacency has allowed Hezbollah to thrive and has ultimately contributed to the ongoing conflict with Israel.
The situation in Lebanon has become increasingly precarious, with the country still reeling from the devastating explosion in Beirut last year and facing a severe economic crisis. The incursions by Israeli forces only add to the instability in the region, raising concerns about the potential for further violence and conflict.
As tensions continue to rise, it is clear that a resolution to the crisis in Lebanon will require a concerted effort from both domestic and international actors. The failure of the Lebanese leadership to address the root causes of the conflict, including Hezbollah’s influence and corruption, has only served to exacerbate the situation. It is imperative that steps are taken to address these underlying issues in order to prevent further escalation and ensure peace and stability in the region.

Well spoken 👏
Where were you speaking the truth last year?
this is someone in lebanon who's got sense
You poked the bear too much, now suffer the consequences.
Lebanese govt..are useless , coz of Hezbollah, ..
So true
godbless pm Benyamin natanyahu
The Lebanese government is complicit in their support of the terrorist group, Hezbollah. It's too late to come out and admonish Hezbollah and blaming Israel for the deaths and damage to the Lebanese people and properties. You allowed this to happen, so you have no right to complain about it now. You've had decades to solve this problem but because you are so corrupt you are reaping what you have allowed to be sown.
No we are not giving Lebanon US weapons, this guy is a joke
Iranians has no freedom to express their goals and aspirations in life. Their women had endured repressions during their previous years protests many of their had been killed and tortured by their opressive government. Look at Israel their people that give the government the power they can express well, criticize and pressure the government without repressions.
No you definitely haven't seen the worse, need to start considering your countries actions
It’s a failed state. An absolute disgrace to the international community.
So, let’s rewind… they violently expelled France, claiming they could do everything better than Europe. And now, 80 years later, they’re asking for France’s help. Am I the only one that can see the irony in that? …. this is the truth … if you do not like it and you are libaneese ….. maybe you should work on rebuilding your nation with more occidental values …. It seems to work pretty well for us.
Iran is pathetic that the whole country's cowards
You are talking nonsense. Isreal has not implemented any resolution since 1968.
This man is telling the truth..
Thank Mr Myhana
To be honest. He should be president of Lebanon. I support this young man
Hezbollah thought they can keep on firing rockets at Israel and get away with it. They forgot who they were fighting against.
Lebenon has only 2 options unite and fight or get devided and fall. Someone like this guy is stupid enough to think hezbollah is fighting for palestine cause, but reality is lebenon is next on the list when palestine fall. Once lebonon alianate its allies like he suggests there will be some sort of false flag attack and israel invades lebenon which has no chance to defend.
I didn't know that Lebanon has someone who is rational in reasoning to state fact and profer solution to the crisis.
How many LAF members are also members of Hezbollah? Is it even remotely realistic to expect the LAF to implement and enforce 1701? Lebanons central government to the extent it actually exists seems to mostly function as window dressing for whatever Hezbollah decides to do. When the Lebanese PM talks about somehow enforcing 1701 why would anyone take him seriously?
Excellent intervention Ayman Mhanna!, you said the truth, Hezzbollah just wants to control lebanon completly and turn in into Yemen version 2, living entirely in a "ISRAEL IS THE ENEMY" retoric while converting lebanon to the stone age, (only pagers, tvs with one channel) while they keep in power and give food or job to whoever they want.
