Andrew Tate has permission to depart Romania as he awaits trial

Social media influencer Andrew Tate has been granted permission to leave Romania while he awaits trial on charges of human trafficking, rape and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women. The Bucharest Tribunal made the decision that Tate, a former professional kickboxer and dual British U.S. citizen, can leave the country but must remain within the European Union.

Tate was initially arrested in December 2022 near Bucharest along with his brother Tristan and two Romanian women. His spokesperson, Mateea Petrescu, commented that the court’s ruling allowing him to leave Romania was a “significant victory and a major step forward” in the case.

This decision by the court has brought some relief to Tate, as he awaits his trial on these serious charges. Stay tuned for more updates on this case as it unfolds.
