Post-tropical storm Debby made its presence known in Canada as heavy rain and flooding hit Montreal, leaving residents struggling to deal with the aftermath. The city experienced a deluge of rain in just one day, surpassing the typical amount for the entire month of August. The destructive storm, which first wreaked havoc in the U.S., has now set its sights on Atlantic Canada.
Global News meteorologist Anthony Farnell is closely monitoring Debby’s path as it continues to bring large amounts of rain to Eastern Ontario and Southern Quebec. The impact of the storm is evident in the flooded streets and overwhelmed drainage systems in Montreal, highlighting the importance of being prepared for extreme weather events. Residents are urged to stay safe and follow any warnings or advisories issued by local authorities.
As the storm continues to move through Atlantic Canada, it’s essential for residents to stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety. The aftermath of Debby serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of weather systems and the need for communities to be resilient in the face of natural disasters. Stay tuned to Global News for further updates on the impacts of post-tropical storm Debby in Atlantic Canada.

Yes Newbrunswick is Atlantic Canada, but not Quebec nor Ontario
Geoengineering why doesnt anyone look into it ?? Its not natrual folks believe me. Its manmade endtimes
I live in Toronto, and our DVP highway flooded twice back to back it felt like, and it's so ridiculous! This is a COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE event guys!! THIS is what the government is literally for! The river needs to be stopped from being allowed to flood the highway on days of crazy rain, because as we know the flood events will only continue. Time to take a real action to fix it not just make frowny faces and get concerned about the people whose vehicles were lost. Do something!
I thought the carbon tax was suppose stop all these weather events.
Climate change
Geoengineering at work
Listen to “Plus Rien” by Cowboy Fringants
Do you know what "Atlantic" means?
Good thing climate change isn't real, I don't think we could have handled the outcome!
Yep, look at this major news outlet not knowing the difference between Eastern Canada and Atlantic Canada. Don’t y’all have editors anymore, or did you cut back your staff and overwork who’s left like Walmart?
NB is getting it now! The wind is crazy. Keeping me awake since 1:30 am, now 2:30.
We've had a lot of rain here in Ontario this summer. The size of flora and vegetation is enormous. The greenery is abundant. Thriving. Amazing to see.
Global News needs to review this 🤣🤣🤣. I did not realize the Canadian education system has deteriorated that much 🤭.
Infrastructure is the biggest problem not weather. Weather has always existed!!
Globally, not even experts know where we are geographically, JESUS has shifted…Jupiter Earth Saturn Uranus Sirius (Fire) priSON Plan ETs. B Safe, B Strong!
The flooding has more to. do with really poor infrastructure than just a full day of rain. I am from Sweden, but live in Canada. If it rains there, we have irrigation systems in place to manage it. Where does our tax money go here in Canada?
At lant ic
Wish for snow ❄
You had warning. 😅jeeze
No we don't get nervous, we get prepared…hurricanes often reach here
I don't know upon what logic they name each one of those storms.?
What is wrong with people driving around in flooded areas? I've no sympathy for stupid people, only the responders having to deal with them.
This is not my acctent! And are we t’want!
In Halifax ,which by the way is in Atlantic Canada,it rained last night. Far from an historic event ,just rain, No big deal .
I wish out part of "Atlantic" Canada, Nova Scotia, would get some rain!
Isn't this "central" canada?
I loved he called it Dorval airport BRAVOOO
East coast? 😂 That's cute here in Nova Scotia id be confident in saying this is east coast..
Am I the only person disappointed this storm came nowhere near Dallas?
So far Ontario and Quebec are not in Atlantic Canada,. Here, in Nova Scotia came nice rain, today is warm and little bit wet, all veggies are growing, I think I will try with lettuce seeds…
u nas w Nowej Szkocji pieknie popadalo, teraz jest cieplo i wszystko rosnie. wsadze salate!
Came to check out what’s coming for Nova Scotia and then realized there must have been a mistake 😂 since when is Montreal Atlantic Canada lmao
Little wonder why people dont trust the news
i hate when they forget about my state, WE LITERALLY LOST OUR POWERS, AND NOBODY MADE A VIDEO IN IT?! WORST TREATMENT EVER
Hoping that mess doesn't come to the UK.
thank all the GEO engineering and all the nasty chemicals in the sky, water and land.
REPENT
Typical poor content from Global…smh. Must be trained by the CBC. Then to show a road in Saint John in deep water….these few small spots around that area always have standing water in them from rain, no drains there for the water to find its way out. Guess they are trying to make it look WAY worse than it really is in NB.
Click bait again if you're in Atlantic Canada, Global at it again.
Holy Tropical Tempest, Me Son. This looks like a job for Frankie's hurricane siren
And the media wonders why people criticize them.
How many times are we going to watch people drive into puddles and get stuck?
It’s like the basic understanding of how things work has just escaped people
Watching this news outlet I always have my questions then answers. Defund these toxic news outlets.
Newfoundland here, I didn't notice any flooding
Debbie does Dartmouth
You start yapping about Montreal and 10 seconds later you just have to talk about "TORONTO" ! Toronto didnt get effected by this storm so why bring it up! Anthony Fernel, don't get me going about that Drama Queen and the way he talks!
South Ontario, below Toronto, got dark gray clouds.
