Aviation expert John Gradek has described the recent Delta Airlines crash landing at Toronto’s Pearson Airport as a miracle that nobody was killed in the incident. Gradek discusses the possible causes that may have led to the aircraft flipping during the landing, as well as the ongoing investigation process to determine exactly what went wrong. The plane involved in the crash was built in Quebec, adding a local connection to the incident. With 18 people injured in the crash, Gradek’s insights into the potential causes provide valuable information for understanding the situation. The crash serves as a reminder of the risks associated with air travel, while also highlighting the importance of thorough investigations to prevent similar incidents in the future.

I'm an aviation buff but and by no means an expert on crashes. My guess on this crash is that while weather might have caused the initial problem the ground conditions also saved the lives. The aircraft acted like a ski while on it's back as opposed to being torn apart from the friction of a dry tarmac.
You can't park there
Looked like a harder than average landing, the right gear getting taken off, right wing broke off, crosswind rolled the plane due to low friction
Pilot "traffic control, watch this drift"
What about the
1000 other planes that land in these type of conditions. Pilot error most likely. They were coming in hot and heavy with lots of runway left to go.
THE MIRACLE’S NAME IS:
JESUS CHRIST! If you give your life to Him and finally open up a Bible like I did for the first time at 19, LIFE WILL FINALLY MAKE SENSE TO YOU!!! He made us to live with Him forever and ever!
Thank you for saving each and every person Lord Jesus! Thank you so so much!!! Grateful no human beings, no family, has to grieve at least in this story!✝️✝️✝️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Thanks ,I like you show, I know Cambodia is corruption because my brother have to give to the government doing fast,if not take a long time
Global warming didnt save them WINTER DID. Indeed the winter caused the accident (high winds) but it was the cold and snow that stopped the plane from igniting into a far worse fire ball. If this had happened in the summer it is likely no one would have survived.
I saw the video's. The plane came down too fast and too steep. Pilot error, dei to blame.
There's no evidence to suggest that this is a result of the FAA cuts, but the optics don't look good. Thankfully this will be invesigated by the TSB so Trump won't be able to interfere.
It's a miracle. Canada is blessed by God for its humanity. God protect Canada and protect Toronto
There is a problem with landing gear on these planes. Sometimes it comes out when workers are working on the planes and gave someone I know 2 consecutive concussions. Yes it was landing gear failure. The whole system with the landing gear is bad
Or is this part of the worldwide jihad by Islam set forth as of Oct 7 ? Muslim mechanics watch your back I recon
This was PILOT ERROR, video shows the Pilots tried landing level, nose was down, trying to land on all 3 landing gear at the same time, didn't use Ground Effects properly. Pilot Error!
From a former CRJ pilot – Amazing there was no post crash fire.
By regs, pilots on instrument flights must land with at least 45 minutes of fuel remaining.
Thoughts with those injured, and gratitude as always to First Responders.
Thank goodness for seat belts.
— and time to finally prohibit "lap babies", recommend by the NTSB for decades.
Hope Congress forces the FAA to finally make this a reg.
Ex-
A PAX was lost once over the Pacific – (not my route).
PAX had no seat belt on when the seat belt sign was on due to turbulence.
RIP.
Questions-
Who was the pilot flying, the FO or Captain?
Descent rate and speed on short final / was the approach stable?
Maintenance history?
WX/METAR did not look great at time of landing
— but not the worst I've seen.
Countless ops are conducted safely in similar WX – when one follows regs.
If one doesn't follow regs in bad WX?
Memories of the Washington, DC crash during the Reagan years.
I'm in no way suggesting the pilot landing at YYZ didn't follow regs.
There's no evidence to support that conclusion, at this time.
Looking forward to both the raw data and official report from The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB).
…and heres another expert to make it not look like another cyber attack.
dei hire didnt flare the landing cause gear to collapse case closed
Miracle on the runway.
was it a rookie who was operating this commercial plane? this is not a military jet to make such an Afghanistan style landing. it's crazy.
Those pilots are looking for new jobs 🤣
Looks like the rear landing gear malfunctioned, thank god we didnt loose anyone
“DEI is about talent, and that’s been our focus,” Delta Chief External Affairs Officer Peter Carter.
Perhaps safety should of been.
Bad weather. Toronto was hit with a 2 Day winter storm.
Good thing we had common sense and didn't build a concrete wall at our airport like Muan international airport. 🙏
So proud for emergency response Amazing ❤
Looks like that firm landing in windy weather is not a safe option, pilots must opt soft landing instead of firm landing.
This is all happening becuz of Trump and his tariffs. The Democrats need to be put back in power. We had zero incidents like this and zero shootings when Biden Administration was in power. Thank you, Obama for ruining our lives.
Best footage yet. Looks like a downdraft with a stall making it a hard landing and luckily the wings and fuel/fireball were left behind thankfully saving everyone. But what do I know…….😘
More DEI GREATNESS I'M SURE!!!!
The plane might have stayed upright if it had hit all the main landing gear at once, instead of only the right gear. Therefore there would have been a better chance of the landing gear not collapsing. If the landing gear did collapse, the equal force of each side of the plane would’ve kept it upright anyway.
Glad to see we didnt lose anyone in this nightmare.
