Authorities in Bangladesh have taken drastic measures in an attempt to quell the ongoing protests and rioting that have gripped the nation. In response to the unrest, a nationwide curfew has been imposed to maintain order and prevent further violence.
The protests, which initially began as demonstrations against the government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, have escalated into widespread unrest with reports of clashes between protesters and security forces. The situation has become increasingly volatile, with at least 67 people reported injured amidst the chaos.
The imposition of a national curfew signals the government’s determination to restore calm and stability to the country. However, critics have raised concerns about the potential for further violence and the impact of such strict measures on the rights of citizens.
As the situation in Bangladesh continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the government will address the underlying issues driving the protests and whether the curfew will successfully bring an end to the unrest.

She is lying on prime minister's remarks and there is no quota right now. So called meritorious students and their supporters are over acting for nothing when govt is on their side in the court.

It’s a very fair analysis, analysis, This incident did not happen in a vacuum. The job quota issue and the Prime Minister's sarcastic remarks are just a final touch on a much bigger problem resuliting from a long heavy-handed autocratic rule. The country was literally on the verge of an outburst.
Bangladeshi people’s neeeeeed.starlink Internet

PM Sheikh Hasina has gone too far. She's responsible for all the deaths which has escalated because of her sarcastic comments. She's in power through a rigged election for 3 consecutive terms.

You should also highlight the "corruption" factor in your next research. Freedom fighter quota is just a loop hole for the government party to put their people in all the vital positions of the country. As a result the people of the ruling party awami league broke all the barriers of corruption. Even the prime minister herself confessed that her former driver stole 440million BDT and doesn't move without a helicopter. Can you imagine how shameful it is? That's the reason the general mass wants to remove this quota system to stop this loop hole and continuous corruption.
The dictatorial government of Bangladesh has cut off all types of telecommunications.

Sheikh Hasina and Awami League are acting as Pakistan did before 1971, and their student alliance "Chatroleague" is acting like the so-called "Rajakar."
Bangladesh's quota system reserves more than half of well-paid civil service posts for specific groups, including children of fighters in the country's 1971 war of independence from Pakistan, totaling hundreds of thousands of government jobs. 30%
Quota for freedomfighters' children and grandchildren, 10% Quota for backward districts, 10% Quota for women, 5% Quota for minorities, 1 %Quota for physically challenged 44% Based on merit. This 44% quota is for the general public or 18 crore people of Bangladesh. Among these 44% jobs, ordinary people of Bangladesh are completely deprived of government jobs due to illegal recruitment trade question leaks, and recruitment of government party people. So the people of Bangladesh have taken to the streets to establish equal rights for all of the 18 crore population in merit scholarship. They want all rules to be transparent and fair based on merit. Also, in the last 15 years, people have been completely deprived of fair and democratic elections and voting rights and everything has been inflated due to corruption and repression by the government party people all over the country. At Least 125+ Killed and 2340+ Injuries
