After weeks of being trapped with a metal milk can around its neck, a bear in Vermont has finally been set free. Thanks to the help of the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, the concerned citizen who reported the distressed bear can rest easy knowing the animal is no longer in danger.
Neighbors had been spotting the bear with the metal can for several weeks, causing worry and concern for its well-being. The team from the Fish and Wildlife Department knew they had to act fast to help the 250-pound bear.
