Old movies were the best!!!!??!
Buenísima película. Es la primera vez que la veo en mis más de siete décadas de vida y me ha encantado. Genial el final.
I never heard of this movie and I'm glad this popped up on Youtube. What a wonderful surprise. Very intelligent script with well drawn characters. Whoever wrote this really understood horse racing and did not just fill it with a bunch inside nomenclature.
That's very odd – Boots Malone is the same character name used by Joi Lansing in the classic cult comedy Hillbillies In A Haunted House.
$100 was worth in 1952 1000 bucks
My dad always lost his horses in claiming races. Didn't matter that he only had the one horse. I never liked the whole atmosphere of the track when I was a kid.
Good film. Should be rated higher. A lot of empathy and real life lessons.
a super great movie
Nancy Sinatra was in this..that's why she sang that song..'These Boots are Made for Whatever'..true story.
This is really sad movie!
Rn français,!!!!!
I am so glad William Holden did not shave his chest for this film.
Good to see Colonel Sherman T Potter from MASH. Heard Holden use a word about fighting, but do people still say "Put up your dukes"?
Jack Fumano knew all the tricks.
Trainer's directions to lope a horse on the fair circuit… "Jog him around to the ferris wheel then lope him a 2 minute clip and jog him back to the hot dog stand and walk him back to the pony.🏇
This movie was written by real race trackers. Made back when JC had the bug*.
Very enjoyable. Thank you for posting.
Great movie, there's a lot more to being a jockey than I thought.
Golden Boy strikes again. 😊
"Better make it 6 months…."

Great movie
He was so handsome and real. I loved him. My Mom met him at one of those dances they had in central Texas during WW2. She said he was gorgeous! He died way too young.
