Organisers of the Olympic triathlon in Paris have been forced to cancel a second day of training in the River Seine due to concerns about water quality. Following heavy downpours over the weekend, the river has been polluted, causing officials to take precautionary measures.
Despite the setbacks, organisers remain optimistic that the medal events will still be able to go ahead later this week. The cancellation of training highlights the challenges faced by athletes competing in outdoor events, as they must contend with unpredictable weather conditions and environmental factors.
The safety and well-being of the athletes is of utmost importance, and organisers are working diligently to ensure that the competition can proceed in a safe and fair manner. As the world watches on, all eyes will be on Paris as the city plays host to this prestigious sporting event.
While the cancellation of training may be disappointing for athletes, it serves as a reminder of the importance of environmental stewardship and the need to protect our waterways for future generations. As the competition continues, we can only hope that the situation improves and that athletes are able to compete at the highest level in a clean and safe environment.

How fitting after that opening ceremony debacle.
Carbord beds, dirty water.. They've done everything to slow down the athletes and make them unhappy and maybe sick
Now I understand why the French don't take a bath. With that "river" it is impossible to smell good.
Its odd that before the Olympics, this wasn't a big concern. Let's have a cesspool running through our historical capital, home to millions, but then get excited when people want to do a swimming race in it. Good priorities.
This games have been quite embarrassing
Mother Natural is more Powerful and Unpredictable! 😆🤔
It's incentive to win the race and get the heck out of the crappy water.
Green energy
Green waters
Just unsafe, unhygienic, dirty water.thats the reality
Fance lectures about Indian rivers, these 3 rd c@ss people should take care of their own business
BOYCOTT THIS PAGANFEST !!! On Rule 50.2 of the Olympic Charter
X. Rule 50.2 of the Olympic Charter restricts the freedom of expression of athletes at the
Olympic Games and at all other competitions held according to IOC provisions. It states:
"No kind of demonstration or political, religious or racial propaganda is permitted in any
Olympic sites, venues or other areas."
All France had to do was dump tilapia in the river months ago and it would had easily been cleaned.
