TOURIST COMPLAING THAT IS TOO EXPENSIVE, THATS ONLY CAUSE TOURIST STAYS IN MAHATHAN, BUT THERES NICE PLACE OUT THERE IN THE OTHER BOROUGHS
Hotels are housing illegals.
Citizens suffer and it is only going to get worse. NYC does not care and the situation is only going to get worse. 8th Ave from Port Authority south is disgusting.
Pedicabs are very expensive.
Do not eat in Times Square visit for a few min and leave unless going to theater.
Be aware of surroundings. Be street smart.
Thumbs up.
Good one B.
nyc is a shithole lol
Ive been an NYC frequent visitor since 1973 when I was 16. Port Authority and Penn Station have always been sh@tholes. Full of sexual perverts and predators. Its a shame the City cant make these entry points cleaner and safer.
Just back from NYC and had a swell time. Felt safe being in Manhattan and Brooklyn day or night. Saw cops all over the place. Knew it would more expensive than most places I visit but I was prepared for that. Still, there's deals to be had. Paid less than $650 for 4 nights hotel 2 blocks from Grand Central. As for the street scene in NY – I live in a big west coast city and the problems in NYC addressed here are 10X worse. That is to say – I'm used to it, not scared of it, know how to deal with it. For me, I was actually suprised at the lack of encampments, homeless, passed out druggies lying on the sidewalk. I can see how some ppl might have a problem with it, though. Visiting NYC reminded me of visiting Las Vegas in many ways. The crowds just out walking, the expense, tipping for every damn thing and the scams.
As someone from a poor country, NYC is still 100x better than my city.
Weed smoke, homeless, mental health, expensive hotels? Don't come to Vancouver, BC! lol
"Odds are high you are going to smell marijuana?" I sure hope you said that on purpose, and not by mistake! Priceless! LOL
A few hotels that became homeless shelters were converted back… I would suggest reading reviews before booking.
Great to see you back doing what you do best ❤
8th Ave is an absolute hole. I literally had to step over people out of their mind on drugs with my kids every other block. Outside the Row hotel at night is just chaos at times.
the $60 a night 'resort fee' i was charged up front for no reason definitely will deter me from visiting again. ive never heard of such a fake fee before
Honesrly, much of the issues that NYC is facing are also the same in just about every other major ciry worldwide, especially since the pandemic ended. People won't stop coming into NYC wither for a vacation or a day trip or whatever. The media has way over blown much of what is truly going on, but they are also doing this in LA and other cities, I'm sure. If you truly want to visit, do it, and don't let the media deter you. Do your research, find a hotel outside of the city center, and walk or take the sinway everywhere. Also, watch one of these channels' videos about cheap street food to save money.
What are Hotel prices on the New Jersey side of the Hudson?
I’ve always wanted to visit NYC. Due to the costs, migrant issues and crime issues I’m gonna wait and see how it goes in a few years. I will visit in time
When my family and I arrived in NYC for our hollyday, we exited the airport bus at Time's Square and were met with the smell of vomit and diaria, both at once. I was rather pleased with the smell of weed everywhere else in the city, because I'm not sure, if it would have smelled tolerable otherwise. Now whenever we encounter the smell of weed at home, we look at each other and say: "Aahh…New York"
Never thought I’d be in one of your videos but I’m feeling famous 🥰
Have to laugh at the guy who said that his friend visited NYC recently and said it was dirty and dangerous so he's going to Tokyo instead. NYC is a diverse city of 8 million people. Did the friend stay in Bed Stuy or Sutton Place? Every nabe is like a unique city. Also: 8 Ave has always been a wreck, I used to walk home late at night as a college student in the 90's via 8 Ave, it's always been full of ne'er-do-wells so the Post is just kind of trying to score brownie points with the Right. I'd love if they cleaned it up however!
……..My trip to NYC always includes 3 nights at the Carlyle, and 3 nights at a funky, cool boutique hotel in the west village……..followed by a week in the Hamptons!! 🤷🏼♂️😎🥂
