What do you Americans want to explain to us Europeans about Cyprus?
Cyprus was torn in two after a war started by the Turks. The north is Turkish and the south is Greek.
I appreciate the history and understanding the people and how they live today. Thanks for that information.
What a beautiful village, so colourful and tranquil. Great video Gabriel, and how kind whoever it is who's feeding the cats.

The flags you see at 26:00 are the Greek flag, the Cyprus flag in the middle, and the yellow one with the two headed eagle is the Greek Orthodox Church flag.
My first flight was to Cyprus! Was super popular for Scandinavians in the 90s I’m but not sure if it’s even top 10 anymore
Its 9th actually for summer destinations but new for the year, so maybe it’s getting more popular again
Fascinating site to visit, and fascinating historical education. Thanks Gabe. 😊
Someone may have already point out that the double-headed eagle flag is the Byzantine flag w/ the two heads delineating eastern and western orientations.
My mother's is from the neighbouring village , Kato drys , beautiful up there
I viewed the gold jewelry from Troy, which is in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow RU
Moving on, he's moving on. I'm not sure why exactly but he certainly is restless sometimes. Gabriel loves travel. Love his video style.
I love walking with you down those alley-ways and winding streets.
I have to wonder how easily air circulates to, and around, homes during the hotter months, though.
I'll bet not well.
Must be stifling living in them!
35:55 — Kitty Kats are adorable, aren't they?
Gabriel, how is the medical and dental care there on Cyprus, overall?
IS THIS A SAFE country to visit as a solo fenLe of mature age)?
Those Greek Sausages at the end of this video, look so delectable.
You seem to fancy Ouzo over beer, even Greek beer, currently.
Just curious as to why? What does Ouzo taste like to you?
I'll tell you what turns me off about Greek salads is Feta cheese, period. It is ever so bitter-tasting.
Is it safe for female solo traveller's in Larnica
Good education gained in the watch & listen. Thanks Sir.
'Best Wishes' sent from a Scotsman.
Expensive dinner
You have the best of two cultures on one island.
Stop talking and start showing some interesting things ….enough with your talking😢😂😂
Thanks, nice trip to Cyprus. I wonder if given your background in World Religion you would be interested in visiting Sefad in Israel?
I love the aquaducts
Stone buildings are beautiful, and stone alleys as well, not sure where in the U.S. you could find the same, maybe Colonial Williamsburg, charming place, hope you have some nice warm beach weather upcoming
Beautiful 😊❤
If I remember when you went to the North part all the churches had been destroyed? The Greeks left some mosque
A meal with sausages ( kielbasa fat sausages) with fries and a Greek salad with Ouzo is expensive at a cost of US $35. If sausages cost so much, a meal with chicken and especially beef (not ground beef) must be very expensive in Cyprus.
This country looks cool… love that the cats are being fed. 😻😻😻 Thank you for sharing!!!
Enjoyed your history lesson walking through the lanes of Pano Lefkara. Very cute kitties. Good conversation with the lady from the wedding. I remember when you visited Famagusta, where that once vibrant resort town is now a ghost town. Really enjoyed the visuals and music through the laneways of Kato Lefkara, very soothing. Loved this video of Cyprus. Thank you.❤
Thanks for the history lesson
