In a spate of violent attacks across Russia’s Dagestan region, at least five policemen have been killed and nine others injured. Local media reports confirm that multiple shootings occurred in the regional capital of Makhachkala, with one of the attacks targeting a synagogue.
Tragically, the violence did not stop there, as two more people were killed in the city of Derbent. Gunmen opened fire at both a church and a synagogue in a brazen act of aggression.
