The leaders of the Saskatchewan Party and the Saskatchewan NDP went head-to-head in a heated debate on Wednesday night, just days before voters head to the polls on October 28th. Scott Moe, the current Premier of Saskatchewan and leader of the Saskatchewan Party, sparred with Carla Beck, the leader of the Saskatchewan NDP, on a range of topics including the economy, healthcare, and the environment. Moe touted his party’s record on job creation and economic growth, while Beck criticized the government’s handling of healthcare and education. The two leaders also clashed on issues such as climate change and resource development, with Moe advocating for continued support for the province’s resource-based industries and Beck pushing for more investment in renewable energy.

New Debt Party
Carla did amazing Scott Moe has got to go!!!
All moe sees is money he couldn’t care less about the people as long as he makes a dollar and we make a dime
Same old Tax and spend NDP.. Maybe try and actually run the economy like the saskparty.
NDP always making long explanations about everything to make themselves look good. Scott Moe is 100% to the point.
first question is the wall SP elected ion November 21, 2007, until February 2, 2018. 11 years . The moe government February 2, 2018. to present day. 6 years . Question they had 17 years to do these things in the province. why now talk of schools ,health care , education and other things now . Oh right the election. . An moe has been premier for 6 years him self.. The SP party wants to paint the NDP are the boggy man . With their scare tactic's of the NDP . Well there is a couple stories . The story starts on 1982 to 1991 when the grant divine PC government was elected in the province. A statement that divine said when he won the election you can run Saskatchewan any way you want and never lose. Some thing to that effect . Well for 9 years he went crazy and broke the province totally. Plus the most corrupt government in Saskatchewan history over 23 MLA's under investigation. I am afraid the head man got away though . . This is why today the SP party call themselves that because as a PC party they would not win another election in Saskatchewan . To get the province back on it's feet in 1991 a Premier named Roy Romanow had to take over and make some hard decisions to get the province on track again. These are the dark times moe is speaking of I remember because I was there.
There a few questionable deals that the wall- moe government as done that should and need to be investigated more closely as will . I think there could be some fishy thing that went on.
My proof .Roy Romanow NDP premier of Saskatchewan came to power amid a major debt crisis in the early 1990s, when the province was teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. The measures his government announced — massive cuts, including the consolidation of some 52 rural hospitals — reverberated across the province.
"I can't tell you the number of times I would go to meet with the bankers in New York and in Toronto who wanted to see demonstrable proof that we were taking control of this huge imbalance of spending versus income," Romanow told CBC News in a recent interview, noting that when Saskatchewan's debt peaked at around $15 billion, interest rates were well above 10 per cent.
This province needs a true centrist party whose ideas will actually work. The NDP will destroy the economy and the Sask party will sell us out… currently it’s lose/lose.
Wow, love that they did this at the Provincial Legislature.
SP health record . Any one that has been in a hospital and listen an watched have seen these things are not right.
The Saskatchewan Party government believes it’s made progress on health care since assuming power in 2007 – claiming that 1,000 doctors and over 5,000 nurses have been recruited during its 16 years in power.
According to the Regulatory Colleges for Nurses and Doctors, we added 772 NET new practicing doctors and nurses in 2023 (423 RNs, 263 LPNs, 15 RPNs, 71 doctors),” the statement reads. Looks short to me using old school math.
Hospitals across Saskatchewan have collectively experienced a new disruption to service every day and a half for the past four years.
Data from the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), obtained by the provincial NDP through a freedom of information request, shows that between August of 2019 and July of 2023, 53 hospitals across the province experienced 951 distinct closures to hospital labs, surgical theatres and other departments.
This equates to a total of 6,772 days of lost service for patients.
During the four year stretch, emergency rooms were hit the hardest – recording 407 distinct closures amounting to 3,029 lost days.
Basic radiology and laboratory services were not far behind with 278 closures totaling 1,900 lost days, the data showed.
The disruptions worsened dramatically in 2022, rising from 163 in 2021 to 399.

Lanigan’s hospital recorded the longest service disruption totalling 731 days while Meadow Lake recorded the most disruptions at 169.
The data showed that hospitals in Regina and Saskatoon were not affected by disruptions but did experience delays.
Tammy Grover was one such resident affected by the delays. She recently spent three days at a Regina emergency room while her daughter waited for a bed.
“There’s people in hallways, they’re on stretchers, there’s no rooms available,” Grover told CTV News. “I feel like they’re just overworked, doctors, nurses, everyone in there.”
There are many suspicious things that the SP party his done over their 17 years in power.

Way To Go Carla! 👏
Scott Moe wiped the floor with Carla Beck 🙌
Over the years the SP party has made classroom sizes with more children and have not added more teachers and let go many of the classroom helpers for the teachers This is why chidden are coming out of Saskatchewan school uneducated in the basic's . Reading writing and math. In some cases no common sense or critical thinking The slower learning children fall through the cracks in the system.. This from the Saskatchewan government web site. The Ministry of Education provides resources for teachers and parents/guardians to help them meet student learning needs. Students with additional needs are supported in inclusive settings by a collaborative team that includes their parents/guardians, education professionals and other individuals who can help students reach their goals.
Saskatchewan follows the principles of a needs-based approach that focuses on the strengths, interests and needs of each student to foster their learning, success and independence. Parents/guardians can provide valuable information and insights to support their child's learning and development and are important members of the student's support team.
Sounds to me that the SP government want the children taught free by volunteers. The SP party may be thinking of privatized education just like privatized health care . That is how conservatives types like SP party like to do unload the government burden onto the people . Let the people with money pay for a good education and health care.
Carla sounds like Trudeau haha! No answers just blaming every on Scott Moe. She’s a joke!
Yes new schools there is a city were a maga school is being built out in the sticks . This school will see the closure of 4 schools and all students will have to be bused out to the sticks. My thought is that this is being done so that more teachers can be let go an cut the SP parties education budget
Who even lives in saskatchwan
Wish i could vote ndp again but not while they contuine to follow far left strategies
Honestly with the rural healthcare centres having being closed and not having 24/7 access. I honestly don’t believe Moe because of the track record. Plus it takes a special kind of incompetence to have a teachers and nurses strike in the same year
