Diddy’s prison life reportedly isn’t that of a typical inmate. According to NBC News, which spoke to several inmates who spent time with Sean Combs in Fort Dix federal prison, the disgraced mogul is living lavishly by jail standards.
The embattled Bad Boy boss is spending thousands of dollars to fund his prison lifestyle, which includes using a cell phone to scroll Instagram and receive nude photos, drinking liquor such as Hennessy and buying antidepressants with mood boosters, unidentified sources told the news outlet. All are prohibited by federal law behind bars.
“This is not some normal s–t you see in jail. This is some rich s–t,” an inmate told NBC News. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”
According to the report, Diddy has even been paying fellow inmates to cook him meals such as pizza and empanadas, clean his room, make his bed, scrub his toilet and wash his shower before he uses it. The pampering doesn’t stop there, as he’s reportedly received massages from inmates.
The 56-year-old also reportedly gained access to a jailbroken tablet, which allows him to watch various shows and movies. Among the programming he’s viewed, surprisingly, includes 50 Cent’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning docuseries on Netflix, which covered Combs’ rise and fall, as well as his history of alleged sexual abuse.
“Like all correctional agencies, contraband — particularly cell phones, narcotics and weapons — remains a constant challenge, and we continue to tackle the problem of contraband being introduced into our facilities,” a spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons told NBC News.
A spokesperson for Combs tells Billboard: “The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news. The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal.”
50 laughed at the idea of his longtime rival watching his docuseries from a prison cell. “Hahahahaha check out my Emmy award wing doc sean Combs the Reckoning available on Netflix coming to a prison near you,” he wrote on IG.
Diddy will remain in custody at New Jersey’s low-security Fort Dix until he’s scheduled to be released in early 2028. Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October 2025 after being convicted on a pair of charges for transportation for the purpose of prostitution.
