The tree at 22:08 is a mulberry tree. Those are edible and very delicious
Those churches are very interesting…
Hi Gabriel. You may have already realised, but not Blackberries but Mulberries from the tree. Very nice to eat when completely ripe. So much varied, traumatic and somewhat violent history for the country of Greece. Which would contribute to an inherited varied education and knowledge along with the amazing history. It's why Greece is SO interesting! ❤
Greece is just so amazing! Beauty and adventure no matter where you go, or which way you turn!
When I visited Sausalito on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge near San Francisco, I was feeling like I was in Gythio. The topography is very similar.
Just WOW!!! There are so many awesome things to see… awesome room too!!! Thank you for sharing!!! 😎💙✌
"Flexible parking" is one of the few sound things that I find in Greek society. I live in Northern Europe since half a century, where you get the feeling that where, when and how to park your car is the absolutely top concern of the citizens and the State alike – and this in areas where there is space even for a small Cesna to land. Treating petty issues as if they were the end of the World often means that important things are missed out in life – and in the Law. I hope that flexible parking will continue in the future in Greece. Let the Police deal with real criminality instead!
Mr Gabe Traveler, when do you expect to leave Greece?
Gabriel you have given a great tour that helps us know the history.
Nice! I just finished a whole big pizza while on this video

Amazing! I can only daydream of being able to return as many times as you have 😂
Thank you for the memories you have awakened. Of course, you have only scratched the surface of the Mani peninsula so far. One cannot see everything in a single trip. Further south, you will feel how Small and Great you are. Can you imagine associating what you see with Greek literature and poetry? For example, Gytheio and the little island right off its harbour, on the right-hand side of your balcony, appear in Homer. When Paris abducted Helen of Sparta (also known as Helen of Troy), an event that triggered the Trojan War, they stopped there before proceeding to Troy. In a modern poem by Nobel laureate Odysseus Elytis, the frescoes of the Saints you just showed us secrete "true tears, at times". Stoupa was the place where Nikos Kazantzakis wrote his book Alexis Zorbas, from which the scenario of the Oscar-winning film "Zorba, the Greek" was based. By the way, try their local cheese pie for breakfast in Gytheio town.
Merci, no. Enough of Greece monsieur.
Amazing videos as always, thank you for your awesome work 👍🙏🏽
Its fresh that you dont use bouzouki music in your background music. The bouzouki actually came from Turkey and introduced by the Christian Anatolian refugees from the 1920's. BTW the main instrument of the mainland is the clarinet.
Nice, we are planing to visit Kos in 2025
