Dr. Seheult shares some fascinating new research about the ability of sunlight to penetrate the human body. It’s been previously thought that the sun could only penetrate a few centimeters into our bodies, but recent research has shown that it can penetrate the entire body and can even be measured on the other side.
Surprisingly, randomized, placebo-controlled studies have shown that light can affect parts of the body that were not exposed to sunlight. This phenomenon is known as the abscopal effect. This means that mitochondria from one part of the body can communicate with each other and upregulate, even if they are not directly exposed to light.
Infrared light can stimulate the mitochondria to produce more melatonin, which can reduce oxidative stress. It’s not significantly affected by the atmosphere, so you can get it almost any time of the day. UVB light, which you need to make vitamin D, is more abundant when the sun is at its highest.
Green trees, leaves, and grass reflect infrared light. To maximize infrared light absorption, head to green spaces where nature can reflect infrared light back to you!
The Green Heart Study measured the HSCRP, which correlates with the risk of stroke or heart attack, in residents of South Louisville, Kentucky —a region characterized by concrete and a lack of greenery. Approximately 8,000 trees were planted in a 4-square-mile area, and the HSCRP was remeasured. This resulted in a 13% to 20% average drop in HSCRP, which correlates to a 10% to 15% reduction in stroke and heart attack risk, without any changes in diet or exercise.
Dr. Seheult also explains that daytime light exposure helps with sleep by supporting the circadian rhythm, while nighttime light exposure can have an opposite effect.

I am a bird watcher, and have built and placed many nests! If you turn a nest 10 or 20°. There will be no residence that year if you put it on the wrong side of the tree. No bird will ever nest in it. Certain birds require a specific direction, when daylight savings begins The birds of course follow the circadian rhythm! If you consider the size of our brains compared to those, will come to understand the size of the brain has very little to do with it😂
800 to 900 nm is on the edge of NIR. Definitely trees reflect this but I don't know if it is extremely reflective.

It was in January 2021 in bed with COVID for a month and plenty of time that I stumbled first on infrared light healing properties thanks to Dr Seheult talk.
But….."there's no such thing as a healthy tan", lol.
YOUR WATER PITCHERS
I have GLASS 2 of them, and place them on an open window to get sun exposure (with mosquito screen) or place them outside with a cut up piece of mosquito screen as a lid. You want the air and sunshine in your water.
It is real science.
Everything under the sun gets purified. Hanging clothes outside to dry is against HOA. My grandmother don’t need to bleach white shirts the sunshine was perfect.
I place outside my Instant pot gasket rings for about two days at middle day hot sun. From stinky yellow to like new clear plastic and no odor. No need to replace yet.
What a fantastic interview ! I'm in the North of England and we have a lot of intense geo engineering which blocks out the sun for many weeks at a time. The sun when we get to see it looks like the moon. Some people refer to it as a tupperware lid over us. So did I understand that even with that thick artificial layer designed to reflect the sun we will still get infra red light to reach our bodies? I hope so !

When you are at sea or at the beach you get all this additional sun from the small eaves and ripples on the water. When you are in green outdoor it is the same thing only with the infrared light.
I remember as a girl in Scotland which is pretty far north, in winter we’d get up in the dark and going to school it would still be dark. Then coming out of school at 3.30 or so it would be dark by 4 if not sooner. I only saw the light of day at the weekends! It never occurred to us there would be health effects.. I live in a very sunny place now. Thank you for this priceless info !
I can personally attest to this. I took vitamin D3 supplements for 10 years at least, and nothing compares to the effects I felt from getting 20-30 minutes of direct sun exposure. It's profound. Helps with mood, sleep, bad cravings, and more.
