Ontario Premier Doug Ford wasted no time in addressing the impending threat of 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods by U.S. president-elect Donald Trump. Ford demanded that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meet with the nation’s premiers to find a solution before Trudeau steps down as leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. Ford emphasized that prorogation does not mean vacation for Trudeau, but rather a time to continue moving forward and addressing critical issues facing the country.
When asked about the possibility of calling an early provincial election in the spring, Ford redirected the focus to stopping the tariffs and coming to an agreement with the U.S. Ford’s urgency in demanding action from Trudeau highlights the seriousness of the situation and the potential impact on Canada’s economy. As tensions rise with the incoming U.S. administration, Ford’s call for collaboration and swift action underscores the need for a united front to protect Canada’s interests.

Premier Ford is absolute right. Unlike Poilievre and Singh, who just want to break the federal. government and create chaos to the country for their own gain, Mr Ford has great concern for Canadians and Canada. In time of adversary, it shows one's true self.
How can you protect Canadian jobs from incoming goods from China when said goods are not produced in Canada?
Doug just wants someone else to blame for his failings.
Still blaming China for North Americans' inability to compete… Canada will never be able to overcome its own economic weakness if the mindset is to blame other countries.
I'm a Lefty but Premier Doug Ford has been pretty good standing up for Canada and also standing up against anti-semitism. However, it's important to remember that it's easier for Doug Ford than for Justin Trudeau, since Ford is "only" the Premier whereas Trudeau is the Prime Minister.
Agree that Prime Minister Trudeau has obligations and responsibilities to stand up for Canada, but honestly, I'm not sure what Trudeau or any Prime Minister can do about the situation.😢
Mr Premier Doug Ford
Why don't you just say Justin Trudo you have done the best that no priminsters in Canadian history , don't stand in the cliff just Go home leave Conservative to rebuild
and safe Canada
We also need to bring down the price of land! Land is where the lower class can start building equity
I’d never buy this Ford
Your next
Jan. 6 2025 Dear Justin Trudeau Thank You for being our PRIME MINISTER of CANADA.❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉❤😊🎉🇨🇦Always
Trudeau is selfish he’s so bitter about his announcement of resigning as leader. Trudeau need to realize Canadians make him stay for 9 years if he do a better job and no corruption people still going to vote for him but what happened now it’s all his faults nobody to blame.
Well Mr Doug Ford, Liberal KISS azzzzz, TRUDEAU has always been on vacation on Canada's dime!!!
Have no strategy.
You all suck
Your words mean nothing ford you resign also puppet
No real formula here, guard the boarder, stop the drugs, = no tariffs
Usa usa
What Doug Ford is saying is sensible. This needs to be addressed immediately.
Canada should cooperate with the US to control drugs and illegal immigrants. Instead of retaliating the US.
pass the tarrifs to Us businesses .
It is all lies and propaganda and he needs to go now , not later and is a narcissist
Doug helped his buddy trudeau out over and over
