Elon Musk continues to amaze with his innovative approach to electric vehicle production. The introduction of the 50,000-ton Tesla Giga Press machine marks a significant milestone in the automotive industry, allowing for the simultaneous production of five Tesla Model 2 cars.
The efficiency and speed of this massive casting machine have left many stunned, including Musk himself. With the ability to create car bodies in seconds rather than hours, the Giga Press is set to revolutionize the way electric vehicles are manufactured.
By eliminating the need for welding car frames and streamlining the production process, Tesla is on track to make electric cars more affordable and accessible to the masses. The sheer size and power of the 50,000-ton Giga Press are a testament to Musk’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and sustainability.
As Tesla works towards mass-producing the Model 2 on a scale never seen before, it’s clear that the future of electric vehicles is brighter than ever. Stay tuned for more updates on Tesla’s groundbreaking advancements in automotive manufacturing.

am I wrong or did I already see it last week?
Very clever PR. If it manipulates it does not do so obviously. Its methodology hints at expertise elsewhere. Let's see how things develop.
If involved in an accident as the wings go the full length of the vehicle does it all have to be replaced?
Also if this press breaks down the whole production line stops!
Tesla nailed the manufacturing process, now everyone is trying to copy.
But who cares about the process ? He poisoned his own brand forever. Very few want Tesla. Total spazz!
In Cleveland Ohio they have a 50,000 ton press for aircraft parts and other army vehicles.
Meh. I’m still waiting on the 100,000 pound press
Fn cool😂
Tesla 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💖❤🎇🤲🏻
What about a small car for older retired folks with self driving ability to compensate for loss of reaction time?
It should not require installing a charging unit in the house but just plug into 120 volt outlets or an extension cord out the window?
Drive on city streets only at local speed limit and updated on traffic and regulations as some laws change? (make it auto — I'm lazy)
Programmed in a medical emergency to go to the nearest hospital and alert same?
As a baby boomer, I'd like to prepare for my gold/silver/no hair years, just in case. (No blue hair for me)
So, to Elon Musk, some day, I may be a customer, but being lazy, I can wait. ;–)
BTW, I like this concept. Awesome, IMO.
TSLA is one hell of a deal today. Model 2, cyber cab, robots, AI links. This is one of your lifetime opportunities.
Body damage cannot be repaired anymore because of the way it's been constructed. These are throwaway cars.😊.
There may still be a lot of bugs to work out within the 50,000 ton per square inch pressure machine, but it is certainly going in the right direction.
China on the other hand will want to steal the design and refine it but they will screw up and cars will fall apart just like their 15 story buildings, made with tofu dread airated cement.
Production time isn't 5 seconds, that's just stupid. One car rolling off the end of the line every 5 seconds is the goal. That's entirely different than what the idiot who wrote this script states. Even with nothing to paint, all sub assemblies ready to go, from the time the aluminum is poured into the press until a car comes off the end of the line is guaranteed to be at least a few hours.
just use 5 Giga Press Machines
How cool would it be if Elon Musk brought that kind of technology to the shipping industry here in the USA were Trump wants to grow the shipyard industry… That's how new concepts revolutionize our industry. If we can manufacture a vehicle in such a short time??? Kool video!!!
Awesome. GM and Ford have made more cars than he will ever make. How the fuck do you repair a single cast aluminum tub? A 10 mph parking lot bump will total a tesla shitbox. And those of us with a brain who realize evs wont ever be legit, will subsidize that $30k repair with quadrupled insurance rates for our nornal vehicles. Typical they prey on brain-dead adult children star wars fans who have zero fucking idea how anything works in reality, but are gobsmacked by anything that gives their desperste lives some excitement.
🤔 Skeptical
3d printing at its best man!
How many informed and educated manufacturing experts knows this is a really bad and impractical idea ? A lot, but none have been payed to educate the ignorant.
The 50,000 ton Giga Press won’t even come close to the massive size they will need when they go into full scale mass production of their Starship and booster in order to facilitate the numbers needed for the projected Mars colony.
Remarkable
🥰🥰
Elon deserves the Nobel prize 🎉
Saw a brand new tesla here in uk. So they are still selling
Sir. Elon Musk “Tesla Car World” ❤🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🌎🇵🇭💯✅
A lot of expensive work for nothing. Nothing new about casting we did it in England in industrial revolution. It would be cheaper to build small molding and bolt them together. The moulds are cheap to make. To get the speed up to 5 cars a second build 10 moulds and job done. The Chinese will be able to compete on price and speed. Cast last 100s of years as you can see by the cast bridges still in use today
Nothing new….
ELON 🕺🏻
Why do people fall for obvious click bait like this!? Apply some critical thinking and look for supporting evidence first!
Bestest blue car, how can I get that car ELON. Blue Yes.
Your AI voice should how to pronounce the word “giga”. It uses at least two different pronunciations, both of which are wrong. Very distracting!
Giga presses are great for Tesla's bottom line, but not for consumers. Why, because if you are in an accident, even the smallest amount of damage to the frame results in the vehicle being totaled. That means you will pay a lot more insurance.
AFAIK he vividly said that Model 2 will never come to existence
Hum
Many of us were made just under a minute – 😂 – outstanding
I only wish Musk had put his genius into making either hybrids or gas combustion cars. I still won't buy an EV because of the gigantic battery. Too many problems for me. Long charging times, range and other things. What a fantastic hybrid car he could build if he wanted to. Probably put the Prius to shame.
Haha, poor Musk-Dream!!
Tesla down 71%😅
The seats motors wiring etc will still ned to be installed
I wonder why they don’t use this for the semi trucks
That’s great for production times….not so great when you get a fender bender that costs $50k to fix instead of just replacing a fender panel.
Grok
The video mentions "soybean oil" at 7:59, but it’s likely a simplification, mistranslation, or misleading term. The Giga Press doesn’t use pure soybean oil but a specialized, heat-resistant mold release agent, possibly with bio-based components, though not something you’d pour into a wok. Robots spray this in small amounts to keep the mold non-stick and the process fast. Great catch, though – you’re really on top of things! 😎
