[Music] Benvenuti a Napoli! welcome to NaplesĀ Italy’s third largest city this is one of the mostĀ Ā influential cities known for having three castlesĀ and Mount Vesuvius looming in the background,Ā Ā its eruption created some of the mostĀ well-preserved Antiquities to this day.Ā Ā
It’s also known for the invention of the MargaritaĀ Pizza which we’ll scout out later in this videoĀ Ā join us for an incredible Adventure in thisĀ Italian port city let’s go check it out! [Music] We are walking around Naples! Over hereĀ they’re doing some construction but weĀ Ā
Found some really cool stores over that way.Ā [Music] We’re walking around Naples right nowĀ Ā this is right outside the port so it’s likeĀ noon right now there’s a lot more people outĀ Ā and about and it’s sparsely decoratedĀ for Christmas you can see a little fakeĀ Ā
Christmas tree right there in the Piaza andĀ it is December 26. walking around the port weĀ Ā run into Castel Nuovo built in the 13th centuryĀ the main entrance is through a triumphant ArchĀ Ā between two round Towers it was the royal seatĀ for the kings of Naples and Spain up until 1815.
This is Italy’s take on a mall, otherwise knownĀ as Galleria Umberto, known for its elegant soaringĀ Ā glass roof. this is so beautiful look at thisĀ Galleria! I love this Atrium. it was built inĀ Ā the late 1800s and remains a big part of theĀ social life of the city right outside we catchĀ Ā
Via Toledo, an area bustling with shops this isĀ the street with all the shops super crowded today. look at this street in Naples it isĀ like wall to wall. Now we head intoĀ Ā the Quartieri Spagnoli, otherwise known as theĀ Spanish Quarter and this is a multi-sensoryĀ Ā

Go you hear motor scooters and there’s laundryĀ everywhere oh here’s another guy – bye! [Music] Is this the way? this is the bestĀ way to get around. this area aroseĀ Ā during the 16th century and was used byĀ Spanish soldiers during occupation todayĀ Ā
It’s one of the most densely populatedĀ areas and a site for all senses [Music] It’s a me, Mario. walking around isĀ thrilling everyone seemingly knowsĀ Ā everyone and Vespas miss us nearly by anĀ inch it is like wall to wall chaos in hereĀ Ā
There are so many pizzerias our guide saidĀ you can’t go wrong that they’re all good. so we just sat down we’re going to get pizzaĀ and we kind of feel like we’re at a movie setĀ Ā this place is so atmospheric. Mike just gotĀ a local [Music] beer. We don’t have to searchĀ Ā
Hard for a pizzeria and our waiter looks like aĀ doppelganger for Luciano Pavarotti. Ane magically,Ā Ā in just minutes the pizza arrivesĀ bearing the colors of the ItalianĀ Ā flag its simple ingredients haven’tĀ changed since its invention. now forĀ Ā
The Moment of Truth – trying the pizza inĀ the city where it was invented. It’s likeĀ Ā falling. Oh my God pizza and Naples! weĀ got to fold it this how they eat it here. it just melts in your mouthĀ tomatoes are so good [Music] mamaia
It is so Saucy so perfectlyĀ flavored the mozzarella isĀ Ā just like dripping. thoughts on the pizza? now time for dessert and luckily you don’t haveĀ to go far grab a lemon granita. We walk aroundĀ Ā the town and notice a number of cafes sellingĀ cannoli and a local pastry called sfogliatella,Ā Ā
Which is synonymous with Naples andĀ looks a little bit like a croissant. This is the palace at [Music] that we are inside the palace Royal Palace andĀ it’s free entry well the grounds, yeah theĀ Ā grounds. this is the Royal apartment [Music]Ā wow unreal how beautiful everything is.
So we’re at the Royal Palace and we’re justĀ talking about how this town is like any otherĀ Ā City we’ve been to. it’s chaotic but also fullĀ of character and you get to see people’s everydayĀ Ā lives right in front of you like dinner withĀ their families their laundry day, and then youĀ Ā
Get glimpses of quiet and peace like this PiazaĀ the Royal Palace. These little kids are so cute. one of my favorite things to do in aĀ foreign country is go to the groceryĀ Ā store. what’ you find? yes yes yes IĀ didn’t know that licorice candy wouldĀ Ā
Be so popular here. lots of differentĀ chocolates, so many of these leftoverĀ Ā panettone Bread. and we are at the groceryĀ store oh my God they have kit kat cereal. the apartments all of a sudden gotĀ really nice over here by the oceanĀ Ā
This is popular with the [Music] localsĀ this is like a really nice section of townĀ Ā here very quiet too while Naples is commonlyĀ referred to as Italy’s most chaotic City theĀ Ā area around the port Santa Lucia is a breathĀ of fresh air there’s much more open space,Ā Ā
Sea breezes and views of Mount VesuviusĀ but it still has a Local’s only [Music] Vibe walking along the WaterfrontĀ and made it to the castle along the sidesĀ Ā of the roads here they’re selling allĀ kinds of little tourist Trinkets andĀ Ā they have some really beautiful cafes andĀ boats in the background. behold CastelĀ Ā
Dell’ovo otherwise known as Egg Castle it’sĀ a seafront castle in Naples from the Middle [Music] Ages [Music] There’s a bunchĀ of kids swimming right here. reallyĀ Ā guys? in underwear. that is crazyĀ water must be so freaking cold. Wow Napoli we’re at the harbor front and that’sĀ Mount Vesuvius this place has such a Vibe,Ā Ā such a culture. so much life. it’s the dayĀ after Christmas so a lot of people are withĀ Ā their families. everybody’s here. we hope thatĀ you get a chance to visit Naples very soon ifĀ Ā
