[Music] Benvenuti a Napoli! welcome to NaplesĀ  Italy’s third largest city this is one of the mostĀ Ā  influential cities known for having three castlesĀ  and Mount Vesuvius looming in the background,Ā Ā  its eruption created some of the mostĀ  well-preserved Antiquities to this day.Ā Ā

It’s also known for the invention of the MargaritaĀ  Pizza which we’ll scout out later in this videoĀ Ā  join us for an incredible Adventure in thisĀ  Italian port city let’s go check it out! [Music] We are walking around Naples! Over hereĀ  they’re doing some construction but weĀ Ā

Found some really cool stores over that way.Ā  [Music] We’re walking around Naples right nowĀ Ā  this is right outside the port so it’s likeĀ  noon right now there’s a lot more people outĀ Ā  and about and it’s sparsely decoratedĀ  for Christmas you can see a little fakeĀ Ā

Christmas tree right there in the Piaza andĀ  it is December 26. walking around the port weĀ Ā  run into Castel Nuovo built in the 13th centuryĀ  the main entrance is through a triumphant ArchĀ Ā  between two round Towers it was the royal seatĀ  for the kings of Naples and Spain up until 1815.

This is Italy’s take on a mall, otherwise knownĀ  as Galleria Umberto, known for its elegant soaringĀ Ā  glass roof. this is so beautiful look at thisĀ  Galleria! I love this Atrium. it was built inĀ Ā  the late 1800s and remains a big part of theĀ  social life of the city right outside we catchĀ Ā

Via Toledo, an area bustling with shops this isĀ  the street with all the shops super crowded today. look at this street in Naples it isĀ  like wall to wall. Now we head intoĀ Ā  the Quartieri Spagnoli, otherwise known as theĀ  Spanish Quarter and this is a multi-sensoryĀ Ā

Overload it’s filled with tight streets andĀ  lots of soul. By the way, be sure to like AndĀ Ā  subscribe down below for many more travel videosĀ  just like this one. walking around it feels likeĀ Ā  a maze. The apartments are seemingly an arm’sĀ  length away from one another. everywhere youĀ Ā

Go you hear motor scooters and there’s laundryĀ  everywhere oh here’s another guy – bye! [Music] Is this the way? this is the bestĀ  way to get around. this area aroseĀ Ā  during the 16th century and was used byĀ  Spanish soldiers during occupation todayĀ Ā

It’s one of the most densely populatedĀ  areas and a site for all senses [Music] It’s a me, Mario. walking around isĀ  thrilling everyone seemingly knowsĀ Ā  everyone and Vespas miss us nearly by anĀ  inch it is like wall to wall chaos in hereĀ Ā

There are so many pizzerias our guide saidĀ  you can’t go wrong that they’re all good. so we just sat down we’re going to get pizzaĀ  and we kind of feel like we’re at a movie setĀ Ā  this place is so atmospheric. Mike just gotĀ  a local [Music] beer. We don’t have to searchĀ Ā

Hard for a pizzeria and our waiter looks like aĀ  doppelganger for Luciano Pavarotti. Ane magically,Ā Ā  in just minutes the pizza arrivesĀ  bearing the colors of the ItalianĀ Ā  flag its simple ingredients haven’tĀ  changed since its invention. now forĀ Ā

The Moment of Truth – trying the pizza inĀ  the city where it was invented. It’s likeĀ Ā  falling. Oh my God pizza and Naples! weĀ  got to fold it this how they eat it here. it just melts in your mouthĀ  tomatoes are so good [Music] mamaia

It is so Saucy so perfectlyĀ  flavored the mozzarella isĀ Ā  just like dripping. thoughts on the pizza? now time for dessert and luckily you don’t haveĀ  to go far grab a lemon granita. We walk aroundĀ Ā  the town and notice a number of cafes sellingĀ  cannoli and a local pastry called sfogliatella,Ā Ā

Which is synonymous with Naples andĀ  looks a little bit like a croissant. This is the palace at [Music] that we are inside the palace Royal Palace andĀ  it’s free entry well the grounds, yeah theĀ Ā  grounds. this is the Royal apartment [Music]Ā  wow unreal how beautiful everything is.

So we’re at the Royal Palace and we’re justĀ  talking about how this town is like any otherĀ Ā  City we’ve been to. it’s chaotic but also fullĀ  of character and you get to see people’s everydayĀ Ā  lives right in front of you like dinner withĀ  their families their laundry day, and then youĀ Ā

Get glimpses of quiet and peace like this PiazaĀ  the Royal Palace. These little kids are so cute. one of my favorite things to do in aĀ  foreign country is go to the groceryĀ Ā  store. what’ you find? yes yes yes IĀ  didn’t know that licorice candy wouldĀ Ā

Be so popular here. lots of differentĀ  chocolates, so many of these leftoverĀ Ā  panettone Bread. and we are at the groceryĀ  store oh my God they have kit kat cereal. the apartments all of a sudden gotĀ  really nice over here by the oceanĀ Ā

This is popular with the [Music] localsĀ  this is like a really nice section of townĀ Ā  here very quiet too while Naples is commonlyĀ  referred to as Italy’s most chaotic City theĀ Ā  area around the port Santa Lucia is a breathĀ  of fresh air there’s much more open space,Ā Ā

Sea breezes and views of Mount VesuviusĀ  but it still has a Local’s only [Music] Vibe walking along the WaterfrontĀ  and made it to the castle along the sidesĀ Ā  of the roads here they’re selling allĀ  kinds of little tourist Trinkets andĀ Ā  they have some really beautiful cafes andĀ  boats in the background. behold CastelĀ Ā

Dell’ovo otherwise known as Egg Castle it’sĀ  a seafront castle in Naples from the Middle [Music] Ages [Music] There’s a bunchĀ  of kids swimming right here. reallyĀ Ā  guys? in underwear. that is crazyĀ  water must be so freaking cold. Wow Napoli we’re at the harbor front and that’sĀ  Mount Vesuvius this place has such a Vibe,Ā Ā  such a culture. so much life. it’s the dayĀ  after Christmas so a lot of people are withĀ Ā  their families. everybody’s here. we hope thatĀ  you get a chance to visit Naples very soon ifĀ Ā
