Nice AK. As soon as you in Vietnam. Manny in Philippines and Lin in Shanghai for a short vacation . What a coincidence to see 2 different people including you in different part of Asia countries.
Cholon is the biggest "Chinatown in the world" because it's not a Chinatown, Cholon is a China city built by Chinese. Back in the days Saigon and Cholon were 2 separate cities, up till the 1950s the area between the 2 cities were villages, where people dumped trashes so bad that they had to grow jasmine flowers to ease the smell, this was from a history book. This gap only filled up when 1 million Vietnamese from north Vietnam migrated south in 1954 when the country split up. And the reason why the streets in Cholon are all windings and crooked is because they're all used to be canals, in old photos people navigated in Cholon by boats similar to Hoi An today. Great stream, I missed it thank you for the walk, afternoon time is the best.
Wow, and what a great day to end the live streaming we know I went a few minutes late and I haven’t got a chance to go ahead and say hi to you, man if I would’ve been like this, I wouldn’t think of going all the way back to Saigon Vietnam just to go ahead and hang out with you but at least we already gotten all the area And all the local restaurants here the entire area were having a good time. Thank you for sharing this wonderful walk AK😎👍!!
Good job, nice to see you walking again.
A legendary night walk in Saigon AK!🤭😄 Thanks for sharing that walk!😌🤗🥹😇
You definitely have an amazing live streaming event with this one
Considering all the merging and diverging traffic in the roundabout plus… it seems like an understood advanced competetive "me" that resonates with all the other …socially evolved "me(s)" that have a visceral "close encounter" experience derived from lives spent together taking more risks as individuals in a society that has seen a fair share of innovation for individual survival and real innovation at all levels.😉✌
The Brain Controlled Mechanism of Mental Mindset of STOP 🛑 AND GO🚏as you must Pay Attention without Anger and Frustration in you, that Leads to Confrontation(s) or an Accident, as in the United States with me, me, me, me. Remember the Vietnam War, fighting a more Powerful Nation, Weaponry Wise! Inside your Body, aren't your Cells cooperating with each other if you are living a healthy life, but if you go off your norm, such as that Sugar Cane drink, that may keep you up all night.
Une tres belle ville Saigon ! Surtout le grand marche interessant. Merci , amitie
at 28:44 is the biggest hospital in Saigon and I'm pretty sure in Vietnam.
Nice to see people NOT using cell phones as much.
Looks like a safer place to live than many US cities. What about homeless? How is trash picked up? Is TV present in each house? Looks like a great place to visit. I hope it doesn't become westernized anymore than it already is.
Hey Ken, really enjoyed this stream, yeah big ups to the higher ups for keeping the trees, i mean those trees could be 70+ years, and now they give character and shade for us mortals, Buddha had all time , we humans are just a grain of sand in the Kings eye of wisdom, our human folly always gives us a kick in the pants, be safe Ken, peace brother
I know what you are talking about when you said that local buses don't make a full stop for people to get off. It's a running stop and people are expected to "jump" off. I saw an old man without any arms do it. It's so dangerous and I'm not sure why they allow the buses to do this. It probably has to do with perceived gas-saving and time-saving strategies. Another danger with getting off the bus is you have to watch for motorbikes that will zoom by the bus door. If you don't watch yourself, you might get run over by a motorbike.
When crossing the street, walk at a consistent pace. Give right away to buses, cars, and trucks. Most will NOT yield to you. Make eye contact so you know the drivers see you and is not distracted looking at his/her phone. The worst that you can do is panic and run across halfway because the motorbikes, buses, cars, and trucks won't be able to see and/or predict where you are going. If you are facing imminent death, just start waving your arms like someone who is crazy and stop all traffic. They will stop and think you're crazy, but you won't die.
