Were the prawns fried? if so I believe the locals eat them without peeling them, same in Thailand.
I don't know where you ate, Gabriel, but based on the look of the foods you ordered, even I, a Filipino, think it doesn't look very tasty. You can ask your subscribers for recommendations on where to order good Filipino food, especially since you're now in Siargao.
I dont see part 2 anywhere.
Hi Gabriel, instead of having spent all that money on plane tickets to NZ and the Philippines, you could still be in Moorea in French Polynesia, then maybe the absolutely wonderful island of Huahine. For the same money spent…
Amazing place,a true pradise!👍❤
Here comes the sun, And I say it's all right – George Harrison
Does it even make sense for people living in Central Europe to go to Philippines when the Mediterranean Sea is around the corner ?
Yeah i agree with the food sucks part. Just got back from that area and the island of Leyte. Love the people , but man they need to start raising some cows. Theres a new restaraunt there and they have a great cheese steak sandwich i cant renember the damn name though now. Owned by a foreign guy.
When I was in Scotland, I went to HSBC bank, I asked the teller which I should use, he said use U.S. dollars, I learned a lot from your Utube Channel, I always use non conversion and local money now. I was charged $50.00 for taking out only $100. I called my bank, and they would not refund the money in the U.S. bank.
top 5 country food on your list? i know first is greece..
Thanks Gabriel for Another Awesome Adventure Wishing You Safe Travels from NB Canada. I would love to have the Opportunity to Visit The Philippines. It is so Beautiful and the People are so Friendly. 🙂💙👍
👍
Hi Gabriel, you usually find Asian food very appetizing. It may also depend on the restaurant that prepares it, but when you try different foods, there are some you may not like. It's always good to stick with the most popular meals that you are familiar with.
I'm warming up to the Philippines more, it looks just fine and okay 👍
I think I would fear for my safety walking down that road!
Try the balut in siargao also the buko juice ❤❤❤.
About the food, I had some good pancit in Luzon with halo halo for desert, but overall it is disappointing. I don't know what they do with the good meat, maybe sell it for cat food, but so much of the meals is just skin, lard and organs.
Maybe try Cebuana for getting cash? It's their version of Western Union
Never accept the currency conversion offered by an atm. It’s just a way to charge an extra fee. In any case your home bank is likely going to give you the best rate so let them handle the conversion
nice
Funny you should tell that atm story in Greece. GREECE the country where I learned to deny the conversion. They got me for $40 bucks. Always decline and also if you use card to pay for something, always pay in local currency.
Heh, fkn greedy bastards are everywhere.
Does your bank contact you concerned about atm transactions around the world?
The breakfast looked top tier 😋
Don’t really get why you wouldn’t get the Schwab card, minimal effort to open, maybe doesn’t add up to a lot in a month, but what about a year, a life time?
Nice view!
I have eaten Philippine food several times, albeit not in the Philippines. First time was in Antwerp, the food in the restaurant in question was excellent, delicate and on the spicy side. The plates were festooned with flowers! Best of all was when a Philippine lady visited us at home, armed with lots of interconnected pots (there must be a name for this sort of contraption) containing food she'd prepared herself. One of the best meals I've ever had!
Siargao looks beautiful, Lots of sunshine happening. This is going to be an awesome adventure. Enjoy!😎❤️
Taiwanese food will be so much better than Filipinx food. Looking forward to your Taiwan Island PRC videos!
A lot of food in Siargao is quite overpriced. Your best bet for the best Filipino dishes is either Iloilo or Bacolod. "Iloilo is rich in history, culture, and great food.
4:33 Yes, the tricycles in the Philippines are mostly made out of Kawasaki motorbikes with a makeshift metal contraption or sidecar. I call the Jeepney as "the swag mobile", while the tricycle is "the rizz mobile". Enjoy Siargao Gabe. 😅👍
😁👍
interesting what you say about the currency conversion
No matter where you are, everybody tries to scam you one way or another. What a sad world……
Philippino food favorites I'd definitely recommend you try chicken adobo or beef calderata ` for dessert / sweet Leche Flan a (very sweet `
– delicious with coffee) or halo halo 🙂
What ever you do don’t order Bault 😂😂😂! Adobo is good 👍 If to come across it
That was great and relaxing. Highly enjoyable. 🙏
Hi Gabe, lived in Cebu for 6 years …makes me a bit nervous watching you walking in the same direction as the traffic.I always walk, especially seeing as there are no sidewalks ,facing the traffic so you see can potential danger where vehicles and drivers are not paying attention to pedestrians.Stay safe Gabe. 17:46
Those rickshaws made by a Indian company called Bajaj are taking over the world.
Try the sizzling sisig .. t good for breakfast or anyrime. 100 peso to go 2km is very expensive. I think you are paying a foreigner tax. Maybe let the driver give you price..
Where are you headed next in the philippines?
That breakfast looked delicious! 🙂
love beach towns✌💦🌎
So many foreigners..so many whities..its a no no to me..
Gabriel if I’m thinking about doing the Greek Islands for a month and then doing the EURail pass should I get 2 of the 4 day passes and then stay in each place 3 days or do the 4 island one and then pay for all the side day trips and stay in each place a week? The pass also doesn’t cover all the boat companies.
Love the sweaty bear bottle beginning, have a lovely time there 🍻
Those trikes don't look dangerous at all.
Have you met the family (you tuber family) “ 8 miles from home” . they are a British couple living on Siargao Island for several years?
Filipino food is the worst in Asia. Granted I only was in Manila. I found the food to be overly oily and very bland.
