In this exciting episode of Best Ever Food Review Show, Sonny Side takes us on a culinary journey through the wild and vibrant fish market of Elmina, located on the South Coast of Ghana. Joined by co-host Tatiana, the duo explores the bustling Elmina Fish Market and dives deep into the world of Ghanaian seafood cuisine.
The adventure begins at the Elmina Fish Market where the team meets Esun, the talented cooking lady responsible for whipping up some delicious Fante Fante, a traditional tomato fish stew. They also encounter local fishermen and are amazed by the sheer size of the giant swordfish on display.
Next, they visit a Chop Bar run by the lovely Nana Ama, where they indulge in a mouth-watering meal of fried tilapia with banku, a boiled fermented corn and cassava dough. They also enjoy some spicy shito, a hot sauce made with a flavorful blend of ingredients.
The journey continues at a Smokehouse owned by Mary, where they sample some perfectly smoked fish and indulge in a scrumptious meal of apapransa, a crab and palm nut soup, and kontomire, a cocoyam leaves stew with smoked fish.
Throughout the video, viewers are treated to a visual feast of vibrant dishes, bustling markets, and the warm hospitality of the Ghanaian people. Join Sonny, Tatiana, and the team as they explore the rich and diverse seafood offerings of Ghana in this exciting episode of Best Ever Food Review Show.

Can’t just be me who thought it was donuts in the thumbnail
Hard to enjoy the video seeing how everyone is acting when seeing the white guy with a camera. Makes you feel real welcome, especially if you're white, just imagine the wholesome interactions if I was there myself! You do you Sonny but the people in these videos are the ones that make them worth watching — the opposite in this case.
With what paid that fish with shakels or useless usa dollars?
Sonny is a G my boy 💪
As a Ghanaian American I will never forget being bullied by classmates for eating eggs and Shito for breakfast. They called it poopfeet (sh*t-toe) sauce. Seeing this brings me so much pride. I hope some of them watch this and remember trying to embarrass me.
I don't know wh i just love Ghanaian girls 😘😍
Are you permitted to punch with your left hand or is that insulting?
Good stuff…
Those hostile fisher folks are an embarrassment to Ghana. This behavior is unghanaian and must be condemned.
What's with only eating with the right hand? When the food is prepared does the cook only use their right hand?
It's serious to believe varieties of food Ghana have with different flavors and when you become addicted to Ghanaian foods you might not go back to your native foods.🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
and people wonder why other people get stereotyped lol
what's the dufference between using the left hand to prepare food and eating with it ?
Fascinating behavior
Good to see Titiana collaborate 🌹
This is way scarier than the Egypt episode
God there even nasty in there own country
I knew you were not done with my beloved country, Ghana, but I wish you visit the northern Ghana and Volta region. You would be treated with the very best delicacies. ❤❤❤❤
Somewhere out there in the yonder if a higher existence plane Anthony Bourdain is beaming. Love seeing African culture and food (i know nothing) being opened.
