The all-new 2024 GMC Acadia is here and it’s bigger and stronger than ever for its third generation debut. MotorWeek took this massive SUV down south to Hilton Head, South Carolina for a first drive, and the results are impressive.

Available in three trims, including the off-road-focused AT4 and luxurious Denali, the 2024 Acadia is a spacious family hauler with increased cargo space and overall size compared to its predecessor. Despite being classified as a midsize SUV, it feels larger inside, making it perfect for empty nesters or households with older children.

Under the hood, the new Acadia boasts a 2.5L 4-cylinder turbo engine that pumps out an impressive 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, power delivery is quick and smooth, with enough muscle for the optional 5,000lb tow package. Fuel economy is also respectable for a vehicle of its size, achieving up to 27 mpg on the highway.

The 2024 Acadia is now available at dealerships, with pricing starting at an affordable rate. If you’re in the market for a spacious and powerful SUV, the new GMC Acadia should definitely be on your list to check out. Stay tuned for more First Impressions and reviews from MotorWeek to learn more about this impressive vehicle.
