Former Head of NY Addiction Agency Arrested for DUI following Collision with Parked Cars and Public Urination: District Attorney

The ex-head of New York’s Office of Addiction Services and Supports, Arlene González-Sánchez, found herself in hot water after being arrested for driving under the influence in Queens. The 68-year-old former commissioner was allegedly so intoxicated that she crashed into parked cars and even urinated on herself.

González-Sánchez, who left her position in 2021 after a decade in charge, was reportedly caught with a blood-alcohol content of .20, well above the legal limit of .08. The incident took place in the quiet neighborhood of Auburndale, where she was charged with multiple offenses including DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and more.

According to the Queens District Attorney’s Office, the arresting officer heard a loud crash before discovering the damaged cars and eventually pulling over González-Sánchez. The former commissioner even mistakenly referred to the officer as “Commissioner” during the encounter.

This shocking incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence and the consequences that can follow. For more updates and breaking news stories, visit nypost.com and subscribe to the New York Post for the latest information.
