In a recent episode of the Berlin Briefing Podcast, the focus was on the rise of Germany’s far-right party, AfD, and their potential to break records in the upcoming elections. The podcast discussed the controversial remarks made by Tesla billionaire Elon Musk, who stated that he believes there is only one political party that can save Germany.
Musk, who is a key advisor to former US President Donald Trump, pointed to the AfD as the party that has the potential to bring about significant change in Germany. This endorsement from such a prominent figure has sparked debate and raised questions about the current political landscape in the country.
The AfD, or Alternative for Germany, has gained momentum in recent years with their nationalist and anti-immigrant platform. They have attracted a significant following, particularly in the eastern regions of the country where dissatisfaction with the mainstream parties is high.
The podcast delved into the reasons behind the AfD’s popularity and their potential to make a significant impact in the upcoming elections. It explored the party’s messaging, their strategies for attracting supporters, and the implications of their rise on Germany’s political landscape.
As the elections draw near, all eyes will be on the AfD and their performance at the polls. With support from figures like Elon Musk, the party’s chances of breaking records and making a significant impact on German politics seem more likely than ever before.

Been here before…?
Vielen Dank für die Liebe zum Detail! Ihre Videos sind immer erstklassig! 👄😻👅
Maybe, just maybe, the tradtional parties are such an utter failure and that's pushing the AFD forward? Germans, please start adressing the actual issues (energy, economy, ukraine, migration…)
3:46 this is exactly how MAGA slowly grew to what it is today.
Could you also give the candidates numbers? so we know who to vote for.
Far ✅️ ✅️ ✅️ and you hate them
😂😂
It’s funny how they keep talking about the raise of AfD but they never really address the obvious reasons why people are voting for them. It’s just common sense.
The biggest and most glaring mistake DW is MAKINg is the fact they have nothing positive to say about the conservative political parties or conservative minded people ! and that is the MAIN issue with voters ….. It is a trust thing and they want to see some common sense especially from the main stream media but they never get it !
And then Musk will start throwing his money at them. Welcome to the Musk Planet. ❤🎉
The same sort of lies made up about Trump.
Also it seems that left leaning voters have so much fear in themselves and one could say selfishness that will resort to anything literally to win the political vote ! And that is what non left voters sense and fear .. That their country is becoming to liberal and SOFT : !
Germany is dying.. que triste.
Feeling and not reality? Dear god, the disconnect from reality this woman is displaying is mind numbing.
The AfD are certainly not 'far right', they are the sensible centre.
