In a major escalation of tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, waves of Israeli warplanes carried out preemptive strikes against Hezbollah militant targets in Lebanon. The strikes resulted in three reported deaths in Lebanon, according to authorities.
Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed Shiite militia based in Lebanon, retaliated by launching its first attack against Israel in response to the killing of a senior military commander. The militia claimed to have fired 320 rockets at Israel in the early morning hours, with Israeli media reporting 200 rockets and approximately 20 drones launched from Lebanon.
Israel’s missile defenses successfully intercepted dozens of the incoming rockets, preventing significant damage and casualties in Israeli territory. The exchange of fire marks a dangerous escalation in the long-standing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, with both sides engaging in aggressive military actions.
The situation remains tense and volatile, with the potential for further violence and retaliation on both sides. The international community is closely monitoring the situation and urging restraint to prevent further escalation and minimize civilian casualties.

How is Hamas still able to operate?
Last time I was this early, the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah War was proving the futility of the same strategy Likud is presently persuing in the Gaza Strip.
Both parties are negotiating… on the battlefield 😎
Both will lose…
They seem not short of fire power. A few of US bombers could help? They may goal the rescue of 7 garrisons soldiers firsthand.
Israel has shown relentless aggression, escalating tensions with its neighbors at every turn. They've assassinated the head negotiator of Hamas, bombed a foreign embassy, and carried out a preemptive strike while peace talks were in progress. Their actions reveal a blatant disregard for peace and an unsettling desire for wider regional conflict
Pray for Lebanon 🙏🏼
I don't understand why Israel sent 1000 against 300 rockets?
How can you have peace when your entire country was founded on the theft of other’s land?
Hezbollah doesn’t represent the Lebanese people. Lebanon wants peace with Israel. Hezbollahs constant empty threats make him look weak and will soon fall.
Israeli society is collapsing from within.
A bunch of lunatics squabbling over scrubland without a thought for the safety of innocent children
There is nothing like religious wars to bring out the worst in people.
West is assole
So sad that Israeli children in the north won't be starting school. I wonder how many Palestinian children can start school.
We pray for Lebanon and all Arabs.
