WHAT AN AMAZING REFRESH!
Your vids are so comforting. Esp when I’m home w an injury. Thank you.
I just walked past Adels last week!! was woondering what it was all about – thanks Jon!
The Halal food looks bloody delicious and I have to try it out whenever I visit NYC. Have a nice weekend Jon.
I’ve really got to stop watching these videos at work on an empty stomach. Some of that food looks sooooo good
Haha you went to Wah Fung? I went there for food all the time 😊
Joe's content is superb. I really like his style. Really unpretentious and just plain food focussed. But I notice says "halal food" like it's a style of food or type of food just like 'middle eastern.'
Halal is just tied to Islam. Haram is the opposite of Halal. Haram being 'forbidden' and Hala means 'permitted.'
Basically it means the food was slaughtered in a way that the animals soul could leave it's body. Ex.cutting their throat.
Basically when you see halal food, you might think of spicy meats from the middle east but really it's 'lawful food' under Islam. And think for those that care about animals even if you just hope they're slaughtered painlessly, halal is not the food to eat if that's your consideration.
Just wanted to clarify that incase people were thinking halal food is just some quirky name for middle eastern food.
He would be better off describing it as 'middle eastern' as that's less political/religious.
“I talked to one of the managers who recognized me” what a douche lol just say you talked to one of the managers and they now have 3 lines
Everything looked so good! I would really like to try those pancakes and the Korean fried chicken, but I wouldn't wait that long and then eat on the sidewalk. The serve yourself frozen yogurt doesn't appeal to me much, you can get that anywhere. You gotta love the professional line sitters! I never eat my slices folded, now I know there's a good reason for it.
Pana is cream in italian lol Also what type of food is adeles?
Cafe Panna is way overrated. The ice cream is more pretty to look than it is tasty. It's good, don't get me wrong, but there's plenty of tastier ice cream places in nyc.
Sending everyone good vibes from Winnipeg
Nobody in their right minds would do any of that crap
Cafe Panna's Cookies 'n Panna is probably my favorite ice cream in the city, along with the Butter Pecan from Julia Jean's. You also get a choice of topping/sauce at Panna, so the $7 is more than worth it. Bánh Ahn Em (and their sister spot Bánh ) are excellent. For Froyo, MYKA is better.
17:47 🎉🥰
Shocked to see Katz's is not included
I can confirm Joes Pizzas in Manhattan really was the worst we tried and expensive too, but very expensive basically sums up New York, visit once plan very carefully.
Got to be the Asian place $6.50 a plate!?
Great vid Jon! Agree with you on every stop except for Mimi's! I think you need to give it another chance. It's definitely the best of the new wave of frozen yogurt spots. I've had every flavor there and chocolate is not their strong suit. Try their classic Signature Tart, or their Coconut, or whatever seasonal flavor they have and it'll be better. Also, pro tip – they price based on weight so the heavier toppings like baklava will inflate the price quickly! My go-to combo is a swirl of Signature Tart and Coconut and top with a bunch of fresh fruits like kiwi, mango, blueberries, and strawberries with some granola for crunch! =)
Thanks Jon! Thanks for standing in long lines for me cuz I can't do it!😆❤🍎
I was in NYC in April and I walked by a couple Mimi’s yogurt shops and seen a ridiculous long line and was like what the hell? For yogurt. Damn.
Banh Anh Em is the bomb!
I do tend to think no line/an empty place is a better indicator, a long line might still just mean that it's a tourist trap.
As someone who lives in NYC, I always say a big NOPE.
pathetic and stupid people making lines to eat like it's the great depression. We're fuck up as humanity
Forget any breakfast place that doesn't open until 9 AM. That's way too late!
You might as well title this, "why are New Yorkers morons" 😂
I’ve really got to stop watching these videos at work on an empty stomach. Some of that food looks sooooo good ….
I'd say the Egyptian food, the Chinese pork and duck with the rice and cabbage, and the pizza impressed me the most. Cheers, Jon! 👍👍✌️
I'll never ever wait in line like that for any restaurant, thats just being a simp.
Lucali's without a doubt! I learned how he opened this location & how popular he became without even realizing it. That alone is worth stopping in to this lovely location. Thank you for doing this & shine on!
def will try Cafe Panna, Wah Fung, and MAYBE Lucali lol …. the rest i've either already had or dont feel compelled to try lolllll
I wouldn’t have the patience or the stamina to stand in line that long.
Excellent Jon & Great Content ❤❤
I have never tried Adel’s is it better than Halal Guys?
Mmm
Thankfully, I don't have fear of missing out like some people, so I won't wait in line for any of these places. But that bahn mi place looks great, I'll go there once the hype dies down and I won't have to wait in line.
I've waited 12 hours in line for something, which i did not expect would take so long, in the end it wasn't worth it. At most i would wait 10-30 mins at most, besides wah fung, all the other spots i considered overpriced tourist gimmack traps.
I knew you were a real one when you said Golden Diner wasn't worth it. The food is not that good and overrated for the wait
I do not know why I’m watching this while I’m doing intermittent fasting. I’m on the fourth place right now and I’m starving.
had to unsubscribe. cant stand the stupid AI thumbnails. youre slowly becoming Cash Jordan, its actually sad bcs ive been a long time subscriber
