I got an AirTag for my keys after loosing them once. Just have to make sure to change the battery once per year otherwise it's useless. I can see why tourists don't come to this island. Lombok is a much better middle ground if Bali is a bit too much for someone in terms of tourism as you can still find some cheaper accommodation and options for places to eat and the beaches in the south are just as deserted.
So, twenty minutes later, we find out that the key fell out of the pocket.
Gabriel, next time, get to the point right away, PLEASE!
Yes, you do need a vacation!
I was screaming at you about that!
Hello Gabe, buy simple diving egg and you can put money and keys in it, and swim with it
Its so easy to lost motorbike keys, especially as you're always jumping on and off the bike. I used to leave my key in the ignition and my phone in the phone holder all the time.
When you make it error learn make changes and keep habit going forward.
TLDW: bro lost his keys. There, saved you 21 minutes
Unreal that you captured it on camera!! Great story Gabe.
I don't understand why people don't use a flotation container that you can put around your waist or neck or wherever you want to stick it! I just ordered three more which are a little bit smaller than my original but under $13!! My original has seen me through underwater caverns in Mexico plus numerous places including Hawaii! No, it will not fit a cell phone, but it will fit a lip balm, tissue, car keys, credit cards, cash, room key….
Gabriel, @DougieDown and @ThaiBudd's harassing commentary merits being deleted, Gabriel.
They both appear to come here to want to harass me, challenge me and be somewhat unpleasant.
My intent is to say what I think and always remark upon what impresses me about you, because what you do is impressive.
Hey Gabe I've been watching you since 2016 when you had 40k + subscribers, now look at you! Right on! Do we have another 10 years of Gabriel Traveler?
Holy Moly, what a coincidence you filmed that!
Sorry to hear that you might be leaving Indonesia soon already. Too bad that the Indonesian series is so short, but looking forward to your next destination. Safe travels ✌
Hilarious! Crazy that you captured what happened. Just adds more flavor to your life adventure!
Whenever I go swimming, I put my most important keys on a shoelace necklace with a good knot–I'm always paranoid about losing stuff in my shorts or leaving it inside my shoes on the beach.
Is there a key to this story.
Fell out of your bag
thanks–good to see SUMBA's empty white sandy beaches ++ I am a bit more aware on BikeKey safety as I have surfed many times with the key –sending aloha always from here–in bali
My very first thought when you said you were wearing your shorts in the water was "I hope he checked those pockets" I guess a mothers instinct can still be right sometimes. 🤣 people are always so kind and helpful all over the world tho so no worries.
maybe you need to hit the mountains
Buy swim trunks with a zippered pocket. Then you can go swimming with your keys, credit cards, and ID.
Great vlogs Gabe.
Always check your pockets b4 swims. You'll ok Gabe you cheer alot of people up with your adventures. 😊
make your way to india
how much did they sting you for the lost key? Presumably a cost?
@Gabrieltraveler – when are you going to India again? We’re all waiting for your next India series.
I hand stitch velcro strips onto my pockets so I don't end up in the same situation, losing my keys or wallet would be my worst nightmare.. a new Harley key for my scooter would cost hundreds of dollars.
ps..Hope you got the spare key cut with a new one straight away in the case you lose another key and then there is no fix.
It's nothing. It happened to me that I was holding my car keys in the same hand that I was holding the trash bag in, so when I was throwing the trash into the underground container, I automatically threw the keys in too… I didn't think twice, I jumped into the container, which was full of trash, the smell was unbearable because it was an extremely hot summer, but I managed to find the key after 15 minutes😂.
It happened once, we were 4 of us with a car went for a swim to a lake, the driver forgot and kept the keys in swimming suit and they fell while he was swimming, the rest is a story…😁😁✌️✌️
Apropos of absolutely nothing in this video, I was thinking about all the coolest music that has accompanied your videos and the most lovely music I have ever heard is that which accompanied your visit to the burning ghats of Varanasi. So haunting, so beautiful, Gabriel! I would not mind hearing it accompany your videos again, if I'm being honest.
Yeah … so anyhow.
Moving on …
Those things can happen. I'm glad the company had a spare key, so you didn't need to tow the motorbike. At the end of the day, you got "lucky" for capturing the key on camera, which turned out to become some extra content of its own in your channel.
I almost want you to go back and look for them 😂
Have you been in Capurgana, Colombia ? If so then let me know about. Gracias
2 scooter incidents, no trips to the hospital. you should consider that a win 😁
It was what they call a brain fart
So they didn't charge u for loosing the key?
🎉😅jan
Hey Gabriel, careful of the Salt Walter Crocodiles in Sumba. They are around and not to be messed with. They will still swim near beaches especially close to estuaries
The greatest story ever told.
What beach is that
Hi, no worries I lost my key in Austria where I worked. It did cost me € 100,–. Initially they asked for a higher amount of money. Since then I bought a necklace hanger for my id, bankcards and keys. Problem solved. Good luck Edwin
Sumba is best known for it’s ikat textile blankets with fabulous designs showing horses and other psychedelic images. Similar designs to what you saw on that rock sculpture
Great place , careful of the Crocodiles
