The Asus ROG Ally X Gaming Handheld is Here
The Asus Republic of Gamers Alli X gaming handheld has officially been released, bringing some exciting updates and improvements over the original Ally. The most notable change is the increase in storage options, with the Alli X offering a 1tbte option as opposed to the 512gb storage in the Ally. Additionally, there is an M2 2280 slot for easy storage upgrades.
Asus has also upped the ante on the memory front, bumping up the RAM to 24 gigs of shared memory, compared to the 16 gigs seen on their gaming laptops. This ensures smoother gameplay and multitasking capabilities. The battery pack has also been upgraded from 40w hours to 80, promising double the gaming time.
Despite these enhancements, the weight of the Alli X remains relatively light at just under 1 1/2 lb. The price point for the Alli X comes in at $800, slightly higher than the original Ally at $700. Gamers are now faced with the decision of whether to invest in this upgraded model or wait for a completely new release.
