Are Assad’s forces suddenly losing their grip on security in Syria?
A recent video analysis by DW raises questions about the stability of Assad’s forces in Syria, particularly in the city of Aleppo. Rebel fighters claim to have entered and taken control of several districts in Aleppo, the country’s second-largest city. There have been reports of heavy fighting between Islamist rebels and government forces, with Syria’s military stating that they have inflicted heavy losses on the Islamists who have been advancing on the city for days.
The escalation in fighting, resulting in hundreds of deaths, marks some of the deadliest violence in Syria in recent years. This surge in violence comes after a period of simmering tensions in the region. The video provides insight into the groups involved in the offensive and the reasons behind the sudden increase in hostilities.
Experts interviewed in the video, including Ibrahim Al-Assil, Senior Fellow at the Middle East Institute, and Robert S. Ford, Former US Ambassador to Syria, shed light on the situation in Aleppo. They discuss the significance of the rebels’ offensive and the challenges faced by both government forces and opposition groups.
The analysis paints a complex picture of the current state of affairs in Syria, raising concerns about the ability of Assad’s forces to maintain control over security in the country. The situation in Aleppo highlights the ongoing conflict in Syria and the struggles faced by both government forces and rebel groups.
As the violence continues to escalate, it remains to be seen how the situation will evolve in Syria and what the implications are for the country as a whole. The analysis by DW provides valuable insights into the dynamics at play in the region and the challenges faced by all parties involved.

Erdogan is a IDF soldier
Funded by Bibi
Allepo, Not Damascus 🤦🤦🤦
Wrong thumbnail. Its Aleppo. Not Damascus
Hamas is terrorist, but this ones are rebels, Western government are funny people
Erdogan is being irresponsible
Peaceful + Peaceful = Too Peaceful
It’s surprising why?
It basically boils down to ‘it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog’.
You got guys that are willing to fight and die for something, vs guys that are there basically for a paycheck, it doesn’t take a lot of brains to figure out who’s going to run first.
They create the rebels and they support them with money and weapons after those rebels take lands and make the regime weak they name them terrorists and they destroy them after thousands of deaths
In Middle East so many secret game's going on that one by one starting who is behind this only secret experts knows.or…….👁️🌍
Asad is next kadafi
Any idea why this just goes on and on and on…? There are zero reliable nations in the middle east. Zero. Or could you imagine packing up your family and saying out loud: guys we’re moving to Irak…
I see comments that say CIA, Turkey Israel are behind this. The same people never said Iran was behind the Houthis Hamas or Hezbollah.
No kissing in war time
Dont fool us, Its all arranged by US to counter russian power outside of the russia.
Just protect Jordan please I had the pleasure of visiting Aqaba and of course Petra and it became one of my favorite countries I have visited with great people ! Why is it always the far right who have travelled the least lol
Enusmess sidusenimec qavetimous renoupsequze
Look at the awesome media coverage and close up pictures of ISIS. These are not rebels, they are terrorists.
This so called Rebels are Al Qaeda and ISIS affiliated groups and you all know they come with identical ideology.

There was peace in Middle East before initially UK and then US got involved in there. Overthrow of Iran democratically elected government in 1953 by the US and the UK started all of this.
No, the Syrian people DO NOT support ISIS. Why do you keep forgetting to tell people that these so-called "rebels" are ISIS?
Very soon… Syria will be free from Assad, Iran and Russia
Let us not forget that HTS is only Daesh/ISIS terrorists dressed under a new name, just look at their methods. I am sure there are peace a loving and Syrians who want democracy, but the terrorist HTS is not peace loving or democratically minded. It is a shame that Turkey a NATO member has been on the side of these terrorists.
Bashar butcher regime is losing control in Syria because of isreali air attacks on Irani army ,hizbulla and it's shia militias in syria.
Lol GG Assad. Enjoy decorating a fence post.
More of the same.
Assad was protected by Russia, which has it's own problems in Ukraine, where they lost entire divisions . He is also protected by Iran, who also lost most of its capable units against Israel.
The rebels are backed by Turkey . Their 1st experience in major military operation was in Armenia . The worrying thing about these Turkish supported rebels you have Darech units that were disowned by Al quaeda because even them couldn't stomach their actions .
Islam brings with it only wars, backwardness and suffering.
Syrian public doesn't support those terrorists, but CIA and Mossad do.
Ibrahim seems like a rational, intelligent guy. I appreciate his breakdown of the situation.
Goodbye Bashar, goodbye!
This is awesome, how do you say thank you Allah in Arabic?
Knowing how slick Erdogan is, perhaps this Ukrainian Kursk style attack on Aleppo was his way of finally getting rid of the terrorist liabilities holed up in Idlib. There was a truce that's held for about five years between Syria-Russia and Turkiye for Idlib and this attack ends this truce. If Erdogan wants Turkiye to join BRICS, strengthen relations with Russia, reestablish relations with Syria, the issue of Idlib has to be resolved and this is Erdogan cleaning out the closet.
I don't believe the west was suprised..clearly they are behind it, at some level if not many.
mossad operation. ISIS = mossad baby
Thank you
Putin's not going to bail you out this time.
The entire Syrian people are against the Assad regime, except for the Alawite minority
Assad crimes certainly outweighs Netanyahu's
