Israeli jets target Houthi positions in Yemen following drone attack on Tel Aviv

Israeli jets launched airstrikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen on Friday in response to a drone attack on Tel Aviv. The strikes, which targeted several locations in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, were said to be a retaliation for the earlier attack on Israel.

According to reports from Houthi-controlled Yemeni television, several people were killed in the Israeli airstrikes. In addition to military targets, the jets also targeted civilian oil and diesel storage facilities in the area.

The escalation of tensions between Israel and the Houthi rebels in Yemen highlights the ongoing conflict in the region. The Houthi rebels have been involved in a protracted war with a Saudi-led coalition in Yemen since 2015, and their attacks on neighboring countries have become a cause of concern for regional stability.

The Israeli airstrikes are seen as a demonstration of Israel’s commitment to defending its territory and responding forcefully to any threats. The targeting of civilian infrastructure, however, has raised concerns about the impact of the conflict on innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.

As the situation continues to develop, it remains to be seen how the international community will respond to the escalating violence between Israel and the Houthi rebels in Yemen. The need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict is more urgent than ever, as the humanitarian situation in Yemen continues to deteriorate.
