Not a bit of it. If I'm looking for a rock to carve I'll choose one that nature has already sculptured for me in a certain way. I carry it on.
Robot should've carved Dwayne Wade's statue
If the traditionalists don't like it. They don't have to use it. A hammer and chisel are tools. So is the robot. It can only do what the artist tells it to do.
The irony. Tech was supposed to liberate humans from drudgery, freeing us to fulfill our creativity. Instead, armies of programmers have laboriously written billions of lines of code – to enable robots to create sculpture and music and visual screen ‘art’.
When humans make something with love, they embed that energy into whatever they are doing or creating.
Machines cant do that.
Not without a soul.
When cars and planes and rockets were invented, people didnt stop walking to where they want to go.
Respect language, use subtitles 🤦🏻
The artistic creativity is in the composition of the work. The execution is craftsmanship and a mindless computer can do that just fine.
LOL nothing new here! , the Egyptians where do it 7000 years ago….!
But millennialfrom now will believe persons created it- and not the later- what are they going to do- place a marker with the robot’s initials on the bottom of the sculptures.
I don't like the sound of this "let that go", "Hard to work". If mass majortiy of the people right now did everything by machine because of those notes then we not only would lose a great deal amount of product from across the globe but we would see a lot more trash where it shouldn't be. Oh look at ths beautiful work, must have taken years, nope a week and it's getting all the attention and the actually history of the piece next to it is called trash. Stop looking for ways to fix something that isn't broken, just teach it and breathe life in to agian, not pervert it.
Will it work with granite?
This could cause a financial melt down if all 5 or 6 people in the world that carve statues for a living lost work.
Not directly related to the video, I was wondering where the modesty is when they sculpt a big nude person, and place it in a public area, where men with their families are looking at it?? I mean, are you out of ideas to sculpt? 🤦🏻♂️. And it goes worse when they make sculpts making love. What is your message to kids there?
Using them to copy the work of others is wrong, but that's wrong in general. As for making original works, even making CNC programs for seemingly simple cabinets can be a complicated process, I would know. It is not 'only a computer program transmitted to the robot', that's a totally ignorant opinion coming from someone who has no idea about the process. They are just fearful because they refuse to learn something new. The opinion of a fool.
Not gonna lie, I love that art is the first thing to get destroyed by artificial intelligence and automation, its the perfect example of something I've been saying for years.
Old schools are right by hand will always triumph.
Shame on those who cheat by using robots . Same as it will be if we use a robotic goalkeeper in football or allow a robot to take part in a marathon against humans . It’s also similar to using chat gpt for students .
The modern artists are only worried abt time and output bcos it’s bcom all abt money . Shame on this kind of art
It's AUTO TUNE for visual artist! We understand the process!
Artist who doesn’t embrace is out of business . I mean soon the same guys will be out of business bcos robots will be able to execute every minute detail and the concept will not be their edge . Bcos concept can be anybody but it’s the artists hand that is able to execute . Digging their own graves I feel
3rd world war raging in ukraine and you spend your time and resources on bs topics
