In a historic moment for space exploration, billionaire Jared Isaacman and engineer Sarah Gillis have successfully completed the first private spacewalk with Space X. The duo, who are part of the Inspiration4 mission, made history by becoming the first non-professional crew members to embark on this challenging and risky endeavor.
The spacewalk, which took place outside the Crew Dragon Resilience spacecraft, lasted for several hours as Isaacman and Gillis conducted a series of tasks and experiments. This significant milestone marks a new era in space exploration, as private individuals now have the opportunity to participate in missions typically reserved for professional astronauts.
Isaacman, who is the founder and CEO of Shift4 Payments, funded the Inspiration4 mission with the goal of raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The successful completion of the private spacewalk demonstrates the potential for further collaboration between private companies and space agencies, opening up new opportunities for civilian space exploration.
As the world looks toward the future of space travel, Isaacman and Gillis’ accomplishment serves as a symbol of the endless possibilities that lie ahead. With private individuals now able to take part in missions once exclusive to professional astronauts, the boundaries of space exploration have been expanded in unprecedented ways.

"walk" in space isn't really appropriate. It's more like " falling" through space since that's a more accurate description of what's really happening. The accurate description of space "flight"is really "falliñg around the sun". We merely use terms that are more relatable to us. It's hard to imagine falling through space at roughly 18,000 mph and still being able to maneuver around! Everything about space travel is foreign to us terrestrial beings.
Well done Élon Musk. BBC MUST BE SEETHING
It costed that guy $55 million to make history
I want to be a spaceman 😢
Pity he couldn't find something better to spend his millions on instead of this vanity.
Spacewalk???
He just popped his head out then climbed back in
always the isaacs
Sometimes people that control what us taxpaying mortals are allowed to see and even know about space travel and it's risks are very censored. The astronauts at NASA have long battled their Superior's censorship of what really happens in Space. They believe that it should not be censored since the dangers are well known and acceptable to the average taxpayers. It's their bucks that fund Buck Rogers space travels and they deserve the right to know.
For the rest of us it's fifteen minutes cities ⛓
Fifty million for a Ticktock selfie? 🥱
Narcissism👀 has not limits 💰💰💰
Amazing experience 😂…
🙏Let's pray they fixed that 🕹joystick 🤿
That's one hell of an adventure for Jared and team.
I didnt see any walking taking place, in fact Mr bean stuck his head out of the window for longer all whilst brushing his teeth
Pretty UNimpressive! Just looked like one of those little dolls that you stick to your dashboard where the head bounces about! Whoopie-do.
What’s wrong with his or hers hand ?
Sh,t
how helpless they are, and we are too!! Without motherland..
Must be holding his breath, but not bad for a robot 😂
Something is not right with this space walk production. The image of the Earth is much smaller than it should be. If the craft is somewhere between 800km and 1200km up then the land mass of Earth would be much larger and closer than the image shown.
Meanwhile in Gaza…
The Rockets are Falling in the Heads of the People
Is this carbon neutral?
I’ve had an idea. Why not put a big red banner across the video to partly obscure the spacewalk? Just a thought.
Beyond fake
Se tutti i ricchi se ne vanno sulla Luna o su marte si incomincia a stare bene
If you believe this, you probably believe in Santa Claus.
Pure waste of money 55 billion could take a lot of people out off poverty free medicine especially for Americans who have to pay for medical stuff.
It will be something if someone got detached and floated away like movies just to see what happens and how they get rescued
what do flat earthers say about this?
Reminds me of the fleas jumping out the glass 😂 Well done. Nice nice Removing the lid 🫡
How it's a "walk" if he just stood like in a balcony? Anyway definitions, it's cool.
It is beyond stupid to have a token rich person on science expeditions.
Where's the history? Self centered billionaires polluting the planet for their own inflated egos. Zero respect for this garbage.
Does anybody spot any star ✨? 5:19
Roflmfao, how is standing in the doorway and not leaving the craft a spacewalk?
Igbo billionaire no go try this one 😅😅😅
Meanwhile, in the UK, there are still people who worry about whether they know the real recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala. Lol😂😂
Why did this REPORTER SAY 55 BILLION DOLLARS??????????? It was 55 MILLION DOLLARS and she is WORKING for the BBC , UNBELIEVABLE.
1:54 Why is his arm not moving
