Nobody said jordan cheated. The women's technical committee cheated and gave a wrong element credited. They submitted it after 1 min of allowed time which would mean Ana is the rightful bronze medalist. What's even more crazy is sabrina was given a fake penalty points without going out of bounds and that would mean sabrina should've been the rightful bronze medalist. IMO Sabrina, Ana and Jordan should share a medal. This should not have happened at the Olympics.
Disgusting behaviour by the judges.
What a disgrace! I am an American and I am absolutely EMBARRASSED that Chiles got the bronze. I always have reservation about gymnastics scoring. It's a fluke. That's why gymnastics is not a sport I don't watched.
americans are good people. we can never do bad things. it is always the fault of others.
Stolen
$$ talks , if this ‘ merican so called olimpic team would go against the 90’ or early 2000 Romanian olimpic team would look like 3rd class gimnast
Utterly disgraceful and biased judges. An abomination.
New thieves in Town.
All black female podium at what price. May be the girls should showed humility on the podium rather than rubbing it in the faces of the Romanian nation?
Whew these “Pro-Romanian bots” in these comments are mad, bitter and delusional!!! 😂😂😂Anyway, go Jordan glad you won and earned the Bronze!!! Hope you don’t have to share it with anyone!🥉Go Team USA!!!🥇🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Never mind! The "MASTERS of THE WORLD" are doing everything they want…in every country, with every nation, with every resorces of other countries…Everything. Robbing a medal from a romanian girl is nothing. The rest of the world are their slaves. Bravo!👏👏👏 👍
👏👏👏GOOD JOB
It is not a problem that you filed an inquiry for your athlete. The problem is that you actually placed it after the regular time, and you know it. And no, this is not the sport as you mentioned in your statement. The Olympics, lady, is about fair play and you and your athlete have totally forgotten about it! This is the problem.
It's sad when your first individual Olympic medal is gifted by the judges in last second.

She deserves 5th
A lot of sports have referee calls and reviews for things. Sometimes a penalty is called on one team in a game but missed fir the other team in a game. The point is they played by the rules in the game. There was no cheating. The 17 year old threatening to retire is childish and ridiculous. She can come back in 4 years. Look at the athletes that got robbed of even competing because they got sick after swimming in the Seine, the diver whose feet hit the board and got a 0 but kept going to finish in last place, there was a marathon runner once who lost bowel vontrol, pooped her pants in front of the whole world, didn't win but she finished the race and many many others…. what about how it messed with the gymnasts heads in the Atlanta games when the vault was too low? They let the athletes redo the vault but not the events after that were affected because of falling on faulty apparatus!
Jordan doesn't deserve the medal. It's all politics. The Romanian did not step out of bounds.
WOW, the bronze metal was stolen.
It wasn’t even a mistake. Romania got robbed. I’ve seen the USA get jobbed of a medal and we should call it out when it happens to others.
Black entitlement
I wanna say this: While it’s sad that the Romanian Gymnast thought she was going to get a medal, her coach knew of the inquiry as well. Her coach could’ve, and should’ve had the gymnast wait until the Inquiry was handled and prepare her for what could happen. It was the judges mistake, and it is in them alone.
you and the whole US teamed cheated you should be ashamed
It wrong , the judges changed the points after the event is finished !!!!!. Why didn't you accept the Romanian appeal ???? Judges are crap . The Romanian girl ana , got 3 rd place give her the bronze medal .
How ridiculous thst she can go from 5,th to 3rd. Laughable. That Romanian got cheated. Everyonr knows that.
B.S
The truth is Jordan is not worthy of medal. She can enjoy life knowing that.
It was the judges mistake, but one athlete was already robed. That’s it.
Of course the judges changed the score, shes black and meets the IOC woke rules just a shame she wasn't a man too!
They are thieves, Romania won.
Neither Childs nor Team USA did anything wrong. The judges messed it up, twice. But the issue isn’t about Barbosu, as hard as that was to watch, and while the trolls don’t know that, Cecile does and her not addressing it was intentional. Because she knows as everyone does who knows the actual controversy is the penalty Maneca-Voinea received which video showed very clearly she did not commit.
The Romanian appeal of Maneca-Voinea’s score might or might not result in her also receiving a bronze, at a minimum it should result in action against the judges who called it.
There is also confusion because the broadcasters kept saying she should have appealed it but didn’t. That’s not how it works. Appeals come at the end of a meet, not during, and from the federation, not individual athletes or coaches. The Romanians have done this. There is a whole history to this in gymnastics.
Jordan’s coach filed an Inquiry after her score was announced contesting the difficulty scoring. That is the only grounds for submitting an inquiry during the competition. Execution scores and penalties and such are not something that can be the subject of an inquiry no matter how apparent the mistake is. Judges are expected to get those right, they have time for plenty of reviews of video. They just failed here.
Maneca-Voinea’s coach tried to request an inquiry but it was rejected. That is another complaint of their’s, that there was no explanation given. Well, a penalty is not a basis for an inquiry. Maybe they weren’t aware of it then in the moment but surely they are now. It doesn’t matter the rules are the rules, but even the announcers seemed to think they could “appeal that” during the competition and likely casual watchers thought the same. I see a lot of comments saying exactly that, saying it was the Romanian coaches fault for not submitting an inquiry in time. Wrong. Others seem to confuse what happened to Maneca-Voinea with Barbosu, probably since they are both Romanians and were tied for third. That makes it all the worse, it looks like the Judges favored the Americans not once but twice over the Romanians.
I will say if this were another sport, like figure skating, there would have been an investigation launched immediately, possibly the medal ceremony haulted to its conclusion. At a minimum suspension or banishment of the judges involved in the penalty call, that’s too big a mistake to make, especially at the Olympics. Too much stress and emotion at play with these young athletes.
