On October 1, 1993, 12-year-old Polly Klaas was abducted from her home by an unknown man during a party organized for her and her friends. The police immediately called in the FBI. Analysts collect fibers from her bedroom. Using a special laser light, they discovered a handprint on the girl’s bed. After a two-month investigation, the FBI finally arrested Richard Allen Davis. The prints and fibers found matched the suspect. Davis was convicted of kidnapping and murder.
