Step back in time with Justine’s Own as we take you on a culinary journey to the 1820s and explore the art of baking pies in the forest. In this enchanting ASMR video, we will be creating two delectable pies – a savory venison meat and vegetable pie, and a heavenly peach pie.
Picture yourself in the midst of nature, surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sounds of birds chirping in the background. The crackling of the fire sets the perfect ambiance for our outdoor baking adventure.
To start off our venison meat and vegetable pie, we first need to gather our ingredients. Freshly hunted venison, garden vegetables, flour, butter, and a pinch of spices are all we need to create this hearty dish. Justine’s careful hands skillfully mix and knead the dough, while the fragrant aroma of the venison fills the air.
As the pie bakes in the makeshift oven, we move on to our sweet peach pie. Ripe peaches, sugar, and a hint of cinnamon come together to create a dessert fit for royalty. Justine expertly peels and slices the peaches, her movements slow and deliberate, creating a mesmerizing rhythm that is sure to soothe your soul.
Finally, as the pies finish baking, we marvel at the golden crusts and bubbling fillings. Justine’s Own invites you to indulge in these rustic creations, a true taste of simpler times and the joys of cooking in nature.
So come along and join us in the forest as we bake pies the way our ancestors did, savoring the flavors and memories that come with each bite. Justine’s Own promises an experience that will transport you back in time, leaving you inspired and craving more of life in the 1820s.

Every time I watch one of these videos, I think about all the damn work that went into everything that was used in this time period. You want butter? Milk a cow. Churn the milk by hand in a butter churner. Chicken stock? Boil the chicken bones with carrots, onions and spices you grew and harvested yourself after butchering, picking and cooking the chicken that the bones came from. Venison? Good: go kill it and clean it. Mushrooms with that? Go foraging and pick some. Peaches in the pie? Better grow a tree and pick the peaches. Grow some wheat and get it milled for the pie crusts. Jeepers. So. Much. Work!
Justine always makes cooking over and open fire look effortless. I've made venison stew, but never a venison pie. I'll definitely try your recipe this fall. And the peach pie brought back so many memories of my grandmother. Her peach pies were the best! And whenever she made one they never lasted long.
Dammmm that looks so good
You don’t really dink the water from the stream do you?
Ron was so cute, sniffing and running! The nose knows. 😅
RON!!! Hahahahahahahahaha!
I made venison pie after watching you make yours this week! The only difference was that I added chopped potato to it instead of serving them mashed. It came out beautifully. I wish I could show you here, but I posted it on my Facebook page. Thank you!
I love peaches! So sweet and watery.
Ron needs to fetch the water 💦 😅 the peach 🍑 pie looks delicious and dinner now I'm hungry 🤤
I wanted to see you eat that peach pie
Wow, did she just grab that scalding hot pot handle bare handed? 3:29 😅
I loved the way Ron sniffed like a bear, smelled Justine's peach pie (from way off!), and then came running, losing his hat and then retrieving it!
Peach pie is my favorite your home is coming along so well it is beautiful
Ron is hilarious!😂
Where did you get the wooden dough bowl ? It looks so amazing for making pie paste.
When I was a kid, we’d go over to grandma’s and beg her to make raspberry pie! “You have to go pick the berries first” she’d say. It was a lot of work but she made the BEST pies! Always a lard crust and she’d always bake them in the wood stove oven, so not far off from what Justine does. ☺️💕
Wow the house what hard work and it will be lovely when all done and a barn!
You two are precious!
I knew it!! I just knew Ron was going to smell peach pie and come running. 😂
Wow looks amazing!! LOVE your channel 🥰
We are so proud of you guys. Great videos ❤
The ending was so precious! And the run home for a yummy-smelling supper was hilarious! You two are such a joy to watch.
Those look great ❤❤❤
I have always wondered as a lover of history what people, average people, of the past would think of today's inventions. Having devoted your time to learning and living of a time period could you say what you think people of the 1820s would think about let us say an oven or even an air fryer if they were to understand it in its entirety as you do?
The Mushrooms ruined the Venison Pie…. Daddy hates em. 🤮
Where’s the kitty??
Dear Justine, get well soon so that you can enjoy again the wonderful food you prepare!
