A hiking trip turned terrifying for a Utah church youth group when they were struck by lightning on the trail. The shocking incident was caught on camera by 14-year-old Peyton Bailey, who witnessed the dramatic brush with death unfold before his eyes.
In the video, we see members of the youth group falling to the ground as the lightning strike hits. Jacob Johnson, who was knocked unconscious by the powerful force, recalls feeling a large explosion and then blacking out. When he regained consciousness, he found himself lying on the ground, surrounded by his shocked and injured friends.
