An 8 year old girl in Ohio recently made headlines after she took her mom’s car for a joyride to Target all by herself. Local police handled the situation with humor, stating that they “did let her finish her Frappuccino” and reassuring the public that they are not mean. The young girl’s adventure to Target has garnered a lot of attention online, with many praising her for her independence and fearlessness.
The incident serves as a reminder to always keep a close eye on children, as you never know what they might get up to. Despite the potential dangers of the situation, it seems that this little girl’s joyride has captured the hearts of many and turned her into a social media sensation.

That is impressive, but totally not okay🤦🏻♀️
Omg she could have killed someone. That’s horrible.
This can be a Target commercial
All seriousness aside…I really wanna know what she bought.
This is FAKED news people. Its a double advertisement stunt by Target in where news media agreed so they get view increases, and Target to get advertisement. If it were real, police and child protective services would be at the parents home and the parents would be found to be a danger to a child by allowing access to machinery (the car). I doubt an eight year old could even position in any car to reach the pedals for that matter. But it isnt real
Use your brains here a minute people. The parents were said to call police. So when police took note there was a missing eight year old plus a vehicle missing, forst thing police would have done is contact CPS, then CPS would have created a case and taken the child once she was found. So who oh who called the news media??? Target advertisers set it up with news media to do an advertising stunt. The police didnt call news media nor did the parents, so it tells on itself. But sadly once CPS sees this news media video, they will take possession of the child on the grounds of unattended accessible machinery (a car) was able to be used by an eight year old.
I wonder what she bought
Nissan commercial: So intuitive, even a child can drive it.
I was driving my grandfather's Ford 8n tractor at 8 years old while bailing hay with supervision from my grandfather and father.
This is crazy! 😱
Unbelievable 🤯
😂😂
This is horrible, this isn’t funny
She could of killed herself, and if not others! I have a sense of humour but I will not glorify this!
My nephew saw this and asked me how much trouble he would get in if he took my car to drive to his friends.
He is 11! THIS IS NOT OKAY!
terrible news report
Goad she is safe and ok
But she could of hit people
The parents need to he held responsible
No different to a kid getting a hold of his parents gun
Accidents could have happened !
She is likely to get a college degree by 15
She's so lucky that little kids aren't allowed in jail.
Why is the media celebrating this!? This is not an "Aw, how cute!" moment. She stole a car, she's an underage driver with no permit or license, and she likely stole the $400 from her parents. If she was an adult, she would have been arrested. Nothing about this is funny or cute. She could have seriously injured herself or someone else. To celebrate this behavior is wrong on so many levels!!
They left out the last key detail from the local news that she had $400 on her to blow & was seen choosing items on her shopping spree
I would have been furious , she stole her parents car and I'm sure her parents thought the worse with their daughter missing and the car. Where does an 8 year old get $400?
That is so dangerous. This could have ended so differently…
Retail therapy & a Frapp!
My dad taught me to drive when I was 12 so I could drive us safely home after he drank too much at the bowling alley, where he played in a League. He also taught me how to read a map so I could navigate, while he drove on long trips we'd take. I was younger when I learned to bowl, lol. I did take my friends for a joy-ride once. We had to combine our nickels, dimes, and pennies, to have 58 cents for gas. I pulled into the station, the attendant pumped our gas, I gave him the $.58, and went straight home. I was afraid he was going to turn us in. I was an adult when I told my mom about the incident. She wouldn't have laughed had she found out about it back then. It was her car I borrowed. My dad drove a station wagon, yuck! Not something a few females would want to be seen sporting around the hood, lol. I'm 68, now, and have never had points on my license, praise God! My dad taught me well, and by the Grace of God, had no serious accidents I was responsible for, yet couldn't avoid. God helped me to avoid many, Hallelujah! It's scary on the roads these days. But, when I can, I still like to set my cruise control, and jam to Christian music! As a RN, I used to travel for miles, and my car became my sanctuary. I still like meeting with God in the car, hers, I don't have one, now! Be safe, have fun with life, and go with God. It's exhilarating! Be blessed, amen!
Police didnt find her THAT immediately. Besides purchasing a Frappacino, she had purchased close to $400.00 worth of items.
Yes, purchased . . . as in selected the various items, got in line, and paid for them! In other coverage of the story, store employees confirmed that she had over $400 on her and police got the store to take back the items and refund the family's money.
Think about how close she was to getting back in the vehicle. Who knows where she was headed next? Even if she was going to head home, still scary to think she'd be back on the road and behind the wheel!
8 YEARS OLD!
How is this okay? Wth is wrong with you people…. This has to be a joke that you’re celebrating this.
Hahaha the Police department’s response was awesome. 😎
🚗🎯🚓😮
This is a movie in the making
She probably bought a bunch of Barbie dolls along with the Frappuccino. And some candy.
That is one bold and confident child!
