Ida & Rita in the same movie?!! I'm in movie heaven! Besides their entrancing beauty, both had distinguished, ethereal, alluring theatrical voices!
Frank Morgan plays the drunk clock Midnight at the surrealist party. Uncredited cameo.
Good movie and even the actors were wonderful … especially the little girl . Great enjoyment . 😊
Ridiculous message: a woman chasing a man who doesn’t want her. A sign of those times though…
Can anyone explain who the child’s mother was? Wikipedia says Lanyard is a widower. Who did he marry? Was he married in any of these films? I have seen several, but out of order.
Obnoxious, overdressed women are a drag. WW is a poor man's William Powell.
Great film quality.
⭐⭐⭐ A gem 💎. Everything you'd expect from the Lone Wolf. 🔍 (Except alas the inimitable Eric Blore.) Plus a VERY young Ida Lupino making a meal out of her role as his feisty girlfriend. He also has a little daughter in tow here; who adds lots of fun as played by the delightful Virginia Weidler, a well-known child star⭐ of the period. 🍭
Thank you, I needed this today.
if you’ve been waiting for a sign to finally go after your dream life, here it is. read forbidden manifestation by zara blackthorn, it’s seriously a game-changer
I laughed my head off!
I've never seen Ida Lupino that young in any movies until this one. Silly comic crime caper it was.
I liked it, even with the irritating child as comic relief.
Thank you from a Warren William fan.
Wholesome fun film❤
Loved it, shared and subscribed. Thanx❤😂🎉
Love ❤️ these old movies
That was great fun. Watch it.
I had a laugh reading through the comments. Seems I'm not the only one who never can remember if it's 'Warren William', or 'William Warren'? 😅
wow, bet that played well in Kansas City….
Thx Stream City 🇺🇸
Ida/warren/rita/ and Ralph classic movie love this 1939 what year for movies and all the character actors amazing flick
Cute well done film. The actress ida lupino reminded me of Michelle Pfeiffer.
You earned yourself another subscriber! Thanks for this great little movie!
Obnoxious daughter and Ida.
I stand to be corrected, but the chauffeur in the car near the end of the film, looks like Ida Lupino's 1st husband, Louis Hayward, also an actor, married in 1938.
Warren William was 45 years old in this film, Ida Lupino 21 years old. Not well-matched as a loving couple – 24 years age difference. But the line from Warren William “Sometimes I wish I weren’t old enough to be her father” somehow gets around that issue!
Ida Lupino was definitely easy on the eyes 😉
That refugee from The Adventures of Superman looks like a Republican???!!! Why I oughtta!!!!!
Great movie! Ida Lupino is one of my favorites This wasn't her best role. Watched the whole movie before I realized it was Rita Hayworth!
This was a real treat. Somehow I haven't heard of this actor before. So suave and reminded somewhat of Melvyn Douglas. I adore Ida Lupino. Love her in another great classic The Sea Wolf with John Garfield.
I forgot Inspector Clouseau…
Thanks for sharing this movie. Ida Lupino ❤ is so cute and sassy here.
$10,000 in 1939 is equivalent to $227,000 approx.in todays buying power.
Warren William, Ida lupino and Rita Hayworth-looks like a good combination for this mystery-comedy movie 🍿-with William as the lone wolf-enough said ! Great stuff!😂👍👍👍
