In a shocking turn of events, nearly three decades after Erik Menendez and Lyle Menendez were sentenced to life in prison without parole for the brutal murders of their parents in 1989, L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón has announced that he will recommend resentencing for the infamous brothers. This new development has reignited interest in one of the most infamous true crime cases in history.
The Menendez brothers’ case has been the subject of intense scrutiny and speculation since the murders occurred over 30 years ago. The brothers claimed that they were driven to kill their wealthy parents out of fear for their lives, alleging that they had been subjected to years of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at the hands of their father.
With this latest recommendation for resentencing, the question remains whether the Menendez brothers will have a chance at a new sentence that could potentially lead to their release from prison. The emotional and legal complexities of this case continue to captivate audiences and spark debates about justice and forgiveness in the criminal justice system.
Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as the Menendez brothers’ fate hangs in the balance once again. Will they finally have a chance at redemption, or will they continue to serve out their life sentences behind bars? Only time will tell.

Finally
I lived this story
I felt their abuse then, i still believe thier story today
These two monsters 😤…murder their parents for their multi million life insurance ..😤
Something sick about America to even wanna consider to let these two demons free ….they wasn't victims. 😮they were conniving murders 😤
He lied. Because he wanted to reelection back in office. The judge reviewed 30 or 40 days new cases. Manslaughter still in their criminal records. No court hearing yet? If the judge rejects and the cases will close.
So the Menudo boy band member didn’t say anything till 2023??????
for any parent sympathisers in the comments, here are some things to think about (assuming you have a brain):
1. Jose Menendez was responsible for a boy band called Menudo while working at RCA records. Menudo members were rotated out of the group once a boy hit puberty, or reached the age of 16. MANY former members of the band later said that they were se*ually abused during their time in Menudo.
After 3 decades, one of the former band members, Roy Rosselló, spoke about Jose Menendez se*ually abusing him in the 2023 documentary 'Menendez + Menudo: Boys Betrayed'.
Rosselló alleged in the docuseries that Jose Menendez m0lested, drugged and r*ped him when the then-teenager was performing with the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo and Jose Menendez was the head of RCA Records.
2. Pictures were found of the brothers' naked bodies at 6 and 8 years old which had their heads cut off and focused on their genitals.
The envelope containing those photographs had their mother's handwriting on it that said "Erik's 6th birthday", and it was addressed to Jose.
3. Witness Testimony:
Kathy Simonton Alan Andersen and Diane Vandermolen testified that there was rule in the house that you could not go anywhere near the room when Jose was with his son in there.
The cousins also witnessed Jose showering with the boys well into adolescence.
Diane said that Kitty would go into the bathroom where Lyle was bathing when Lyle was 15 and stay in there for 15 minutes.
Andy Cano testified that when he was 10 and Erik was 13, Erik asked him if Andy's dad ever massaged his d*ck.
Erik wrote in a letter in 1988 to his Andy that talks about the abuse:
"I've been trying to avoid dad. It's still happening Andy but it's worse for me now. I can't explain it. he's so overweight i just can't stand to see him. I never know when it's going to happen and it's driving me crazy. Every night i stay up thinking he might come in. I need to put it out of my mind. i know what you said before but I'm afraid. You don't know dad like i do. he's crazy! He's warned me a hundred times about telling anyone, especially Lyle."
4. A few weeks before the k*llings Kitty told her therapist she was hiding sick and embarrassing secret
5. Expert Testimony:
Dr. John Wilson, a Cleveland State University psychology professor who had studied post-traumatic stress disorder for 22 years–among Vietnam veterans and civilians and rescue workers in Bosnia, testified that Erik Menendez continues to display symptoms of chronic post-traumatic stress disorder. Dr. Wilson also testified that Erik Menendez suffered from a subclass of the disorder known as battered person syndrome.
Bottom line: if you have not watched the court tapes and listened to the expert testimony, you simply could not have a valid opinion about this case. Be honest with yourself and ask yourself why you're sympathising with child abusers and r*pists, more than their victims who committed a violent act in a moment of desperation.
it is finally time for them to get some justice! we are all praying for them
😂😂😂😂 people on here believing their son story and showing their hypocrisy and nitpicky views.
They murdered their parents, staged it, went on a spending spree with their inheritance. Yeah, that sounds like they are innocent. 🤪🤪🤪🤡🤡🤡🤡
Them, Gypsy, Aileen Wuornos are and were guilty. 100%. Same as Scott Peterson.
Stop nitpicking and being hypocritical on who is and isn’t “innocent”.
1993? It was 89😭
This was more revenge than self defense. Yes, their father was a monster but they also killed their mother, even though she should have defended them, that is not a reason to kill
Most of us who know anything about the case don't believe that they were sexually abused by either of their parents and that the abuse allegations are just made up…..
It’s about TIME!!! Sent them free!!!
