Join me on my post-injury journey in Toronto as I take my first steps outside with crutches after a recent foot injury. It’s been 3 days since I started using crutches, and this is my first time venturing outdoors. I’ll share my experience of adapting to life on crutches, the challenges I face, and how I’m overcoming them. @JohnnyStrides walks with me to the nearest cafe in Toronto, and it was quite a challenge! Watch as I navigate the city streets and take on this new chapter in my recovery. Recorded on August 19, 2024.

Hi! So sorry you’re injured but you’ll get through it. I broke my lateral femoral condyle so I was non weight bearing for three months. It might be helpful if you put the crutches higher so you’re not bending over so far. ❤️🩹🙏
❤
I hope you get well soon sweetheart!!!
Keep getting better so you can make those great christmas walks to radio city in December 🙂
Hope you get well soon Action Kid. Thanks very much to Johnny, he is a good friend .
I know I will see you soon walking 10 hours but in Manhattan.
❤
Johnny has been your greatest guardian Angel, he has nothing but tolerance and kindness towards you Actionkid, in Thailand or Toronto…you owe him🙏thank you Johnny for taking care of this Actionkid , you guys are great❤
Get Well Soon ! Get back to Action, Kid !
Happy Hobbling 😊
This was a tremendous feat you just accomplished AK. Walking on crutches is not easy and the distance you traveled is amazing. I'm sure your arms were sore the next day. Please don't injure any other part of your body trying to do too much on crutches. I tore my meniscus in my right knee getting up from a chair while I was on crutches for a left foot injury. Good luck with your progress.
Greetings from South Florida, wishing You a quick and full recovery.
Hey AK, sorry again about your injury. You have to do what you have to do to get around. It is not easy, I have been on crutches, a cane and aai always stay creative on how and what to do by trial and error. Yep AK, continued best wishes to have a speedy recovery toward some sort of normalcy. Johnny, thank you for assisting Ken to help him get around.
Crutches require a lot of upper body muscles. Specifically your forearms, triceps, biceps, shoulders, lats, traps & even core for stabilization. Luckily only 6 week recovery instead of months. If you keep this up on crutches, your upper body will be swole 😅
I feel so bad for action kid 😢 it’s hard to see him beat up and feeling down. He need a hug (no homo)
get well soon Johnny! 😉
Get well soon ,AK! All the Best .
Eat PROTEIN, AK!
Hello Ken! So sorry to see you incapacitated and wishing you a speedy recovery. I’m in Leyland , Lancashire, UK.
Hey ActionKid, take care-
-all of us –your fans, admirers-wish you a speedy recovery ! The fracture will heal shortly, that is for sure ! Meanwhile, please do not ramble unaccompanied until you are back to normalcy. All of us look forward to watching your engaging videos on NYC and other places, with your brilliant commentary that also has a dash of history ! Please get well soon…Godspeed !Crutches are torture. Been there twice. The 1st time it was easier for me to hop. The 2nd time a walker and wheelchair were kinder options. At any rate, you will be back on two feet in a few months.
May God heal you. God be with you.
Hi ActionKid hope you are doing okay. I saw your recent update & am so pleased to hear you didn't need surgery ☺ Great to see @Johnny Strides giving you a helping hand with the filming 👍Wishing you a speedy recovery!
You are just amazing. A true inspiration to people that winne like me. A real palikari (unique greek word). Dont worry about videomaking. There will still be enough of them but with different content. Its not only the places you show. 2/3 of the channel is you. So, to the next interesting video. 🥾🥾🥾♿🛴🛹😉
.. HOW many Conspiracy books Could this one Incident write. Famous Walking guide gets Escoodered in Canada.
Unexpected hurdles come up, but you're still able to make magic and think outside the box to give us some tours, or a third person view, to mix things up. Well done making the most of things, AK!
I don't see a lot of people walking down the street with crutches. It may be really hard at first, but I think you'll slowly get stronger and better at it.
That Italian cafe looks like a nice place. San Pellegrino sparking water is always nice. 21:58 The Brio in the refrigerator just above the San Pellegrino is a soda/pop that was created in Toronto by Italian immigrants. If you were to ever try it, I'd guess you probably wouldn't like it. I think it appeals more to Italian immigrants who miss the taste of chinotto.
I’m Happy that your ok ❤❤
If you’re going to ride electric two-wheelers you should take a motorcycle safety course. It will help avoid accidents, and if you’d been wearing decent boots you wouldn’t have a fractured foot.
ActionCrutch
So inspirational on multiple levels. Beautiful ❤️
Are knee scooters available there? You should look into getting one. Much more comfortable than crutches, and even kind of fun!
looking forward to the dad video! 🚙
Please Father God heal him totally, You know Father he walks for those who cannot walk around to visit places.
Fit rubber pads to the base of the crutches to prevent slipping.
you two guys are a hoot. love watching and learning about everything., sure ( 27 ) yeah, you can pass for it tho Johnny. Anyway, so sorry for Kens accident I have been following it.. my grandson who is 30 broke his right calf in many places while skiing in Collingwood last Feb. he has healed after having quite a surgery on it and was using a knee brace which he wore instead of using crutches. he is just about to get the ok to go back to work or travel, which he loves. GOOD WISHES TO BOTH OF YOU. PEGGY ANNE
