Given the information and interviews are primarily from Japan, it felt unnecessary to refer to the Famicom as the NES. That one change completely changes what is being said given what actually played out back then in their respective regions.
私の子供時代の経験をとても楽しいものにしてくれた横井さんに感謝します!
Nintendo sucks.
I only know 2 things about Nintendo: Super Mario and greed.
Noch nie eine schlechtere Doku über Videogames gesehen. Sehr viele Falschinformationen
The reason why nintendo was also successful was not only because of it’s games.
They did made their consoles as cheap as possible while using leteral thinking to try getting around those limitations they had to deal with.
Because as we have seen with it’s competitors falling sooo hard because of their systems being too expensive.
For instance the nes cpu does lack adding, substraction and multiplication as opposed to it’s competitor’s used cpu type.
But nintendo did got around that by writting their own subrotine code to allow high scores into their games whether through symbols or letters.
On the snes they opted for a low speed cpu with only an 8bit databus.
But they did get around that by execute each instruction per cycle rather then 2 or more cycles from it’s competitor.
The snes also uses HDMA for faster processing of data.
The N64 cpu only has a 32bit bitbus and limited memory.
But nintendo did got around that by using cartrides along with bankswitching for fast data transfering in and out to the console.
The gameboy only has a 1bit lcd screen.
But in order to allow 2bit graphics to be displayed, that 1bit lcd and alternate sooo fast between black and white that it can also mimmick as a 2bit screen.
Also nintendo did used many graphical and sound tricks to get the most out of their consoles to achieve more then what was originslly intended.
Etc…
Wait, the fall? The fall of Nintendo??!?!??? Lmao.
Gunpei Yokoi already left Nintendo before he died. He worked on the Wonder Swan at Bandai.
USA.. STOP NINTENDO JP CARD OLD…, ICE
Docmentary ends around Switch, so probably produced in 2016 ealry 2017 so did not factor in Switch success. Nintendo's valuation has skyrocketedc since. it's now a 100B plus corp. No one;'s acquring them anytime soon/
I disagree with the guy who said that new gamers need no tv. I play all my consoles and my switch 2 on my TV, I prefer having a better visual experience as well as enjoying my games on a bigger screen. I rarely play my Switch 2 on handheld.
This documentary despite uploaded 5 days ago forgot about the Switch 2, like SERIOUSLY.
Nintendo owns the most prolific media franchise in history, Pokémon, worth 100 billions for 2023 alone. People fail at understanding Nintendo when all they compare is console sales.
Rise and fall and rise again… without mentioning the DS? Lmao…
Nintendo should of made Wii U first, then the Wii. That would of made Wii U more successful, because tablets weren't in use at Wii launch. Also with a name change. Then motion control during the Wii U era, which would be non existent because no one would have to balls to do it, but Nintendo. It should of also been compatible with DS games.
Shen does this documentary date? It presents the Switch 1 in the future tense.
Die Dokumentation ist leider voller Ungenauigkeiten und Fehler. Sie ist außerdem schlecht gegliedert und lässt wichtige Ereignisse und Informationen aus.
The Virtual Boy stand is backwards. 🫡
A advise from a Nintendo fan to another!
15:12 okay tell you the truth. That’s not licensed Sega product, that’s a home brew version of Sonic 2!😂 Shadow did not appear in Sonic media until 2001
Nintendo is king in sueing others for years.
One reason why real oldschool gamers dont support them anymore.
There once was a time when Mario and Homer Simpson were more well-known than the president of the United States
And here a long time collector doesn't know it's called a d pad
Seriously his name is GUNPEI YOKOI u can't even say them in correct order wow
YOKOI gunpei wow u crack me up
And today Nintendo is bigger than ever, theme parks, Movies, dominant Switch sales and Switch 2 also selling well, yeah I don’t see them going anywhere.
