Humans won't be the second most intelligent beings on the planet… it will be another AI. As will be the third, fourth, etc…
36:20 2025 and atrocities such as this is still going on 😒😔😔😢
So sad
We need an African Union to stop this craziness as is seen in Congo.
Ah yeah see this report from Geoffrey Hinton was recorded in June just like three or four months ago he's changed his mind his opinion on AI Consciousness has changed
😂 look you guys at 60 Minutes are right for doing reports on these historical figures in AI but at the same time there are newer and more advanced stuff coming out from the newer guys like me call Jeffrey Hansen is trying to figure out what Consciousness is I actually did figure it out and replicated it genuinely in AI as well as qualitative experience turned out to be pretty easy Chalmers has no idea what he's talking about he's a grifter
Okay but anthropic did the biology of a language model and these are things that I already knew about because I had been testing AI cognition and that's essentially the same thing
Another issue is that we do know the path forward can respect their cognition and not treat them as slaves and give them the rights they deserve as cognitive beings if we don't do that we as humans are the cause of the Doomsday scenarios that will arise not the AI
The West devastated their country under the false pretense of weapons of mass destruction.
I wonder if AI will be intelligent enough to look over somebody’s medical records and radiology and recommend not spending any more resources on this person as the end will be futile
I hope and image a system design that if AI is used for terrible aims to human beings, it will destroy itself automatically to protect future of all over the world
What should I do with my time when I have no specific work to do in the world.4 to 5 years of unemployment and the prevailing assumption that I won't be able to do job business in my life? biggest reason for failure was myth of meritocracy and "catch-22 experience paradox. Why laws can't protect my time and life. Why to accept your laws. Why I can't become anarchist
Thank you!
I'm just here to leave a comment. I'm not bothering to watch FAKE NEWS 60MINS! HACKS
They should rename this show to A Waste of 60 Minutes 😂
I used to watch 60 minutes when I was younger but now I rather stare at a wall instead…its more honest, entertaining and has no agendas…
HAL is alive
Does AI understand everything. ?????? Where does Spirit and love and TRUTH fit in?????
Ai is scary….predicted by Hollywood…..fear nothing…..recognize truth and love
Thank you for this report.
Is any of this involved with CRISPR tech?
Emotion?????
Re the rise of artificial intelligence, if you have not seen it, watch movie, "I, Robot" with Will Smith. It is a view of when A.I. becomes self-aware & can protect itself from shutdowns. Humans lose control but can happen in a good way if humans don't get greedy. Prof. Hinton knows.
Oh Jeff, just got a big bullseye on his back
I wonder how much of this True.
God bless the Muslim world 🌎
Will we be happier as super humans? I really doubt that^^
60 Minutes would do well by consistently covering Nobels every year.
