Renowned naturalist David Attenborough has long been a champion for the preservation of Earth’s diverse and unique animal species. In a recent video titled “This is One of David Attenborough’s Favourite Animals | Attenborough’s Ark | BBC Earth,” Attenborough shares his top ten favorite animals that he believes are at risk of extinction.
From the bizarre to the beautiful, Attenborough selects a range of fabulous and unusual creatures that he deems worthy of being saved from disappearing forever. Among these chosen animals is the Priam’s birdwing butterfly, which Attenborough regards as an essential member of his imaginary ‘ark’ – a vessel to protect endangered species.
Attenborough’s passion for wildlife conservation shines through as he discusses each of his favorite animals, highlighting their importance in the delicate ecosystem of our planet. The video provides viewers with a glimpse into the fascinating world of these creatures and serves as a reminder of the urgent need to protect and preserve biodiversity.
With his unmatched knowledge and expertise in the natural world, David Attenborough continues to inspire audiences to appreciate and care for Earth’s incredible wildlife. Through projects like “Attenborough’s Ark,” he hopes to raise awareness about the importance of conservation efforts and the need to take action to prevent the loss of our planet’s most extraordinary species.
As Attenborough’s legacy of nature documentaries continues to captivate audiences worldwide, his message of conservation and environmental stewardship remains as relevant and vital as ever. Join him on this journey to save some of the most unique and endangered animals on Earth, and be inspired by the wonder and beauty of the natural world.

thank you for everything David
So glad he's still with us. 💫
Such Joy you have brought to man Dearest David. Queen Elizabeth liked a private walk with you the trees selected and planted for all sad or happy events, discussed with you often where, the species were and how they were fairing. Pleasant to have seen the BBC video on one of your walks. So many memories Of the Thousand and one programmes you have Presented. There is not a favourite. It would be like choosing to breath or not! Life, end easily you as, for all, at the end of our walk.
I had no idea!
There is something neat about one of Sir Attenborough's favorite animals being the exact same animal, the exact same species as mine.
Since I began to remember things, he was already elderly. I am an adult now, and I am so glad that he is still here.
This is a trivial thing, but I am happy to be carrying a small piece of our shared joy with me into the future.

Спасибо за труд!! ❤
Sir David is such a kind & considdered human beeing.. just look at this Magnificent butterfly it dos'int want to leve him.. smile.. Thank you BBC Earth for sharing this beautiful video with us all.. Greetings from Skandinavia 💞🇮🇸😊✌️💞
God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who… Understands
He's absolutely wonderful.
Happy new year to you.. SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH 🎉

The innocent little grin he has when he gets a butterfly to crawl on his finger – what a national treasure he is. Some things just never change, like the joy one feels when a pretty critter stops to say hello.
